I think I butchered this one on every street, but I just don't know.

Villain is a LAG, running around 30/16/2.4 through a hundred hands, but at the time this was played I did not have as much history on him. Barreling tendencies are a small sample. C-bet R 67%, T 50% and had not had an opportunity on river when this hand was played.

I am totally lost pre against his EP raise and decide to just call.
Then post flop I am paralyzed and decide to just check/call.
On River I just don't really feel he is barreling worse and decide to just give up.

I feel dirty.

Yeah, not a fun spot. Feels like villain has QQ+ so often here. I still like the passive line, though. Our hand isn't quite strong enough to 3-bet for value against an early position open, and if we raise flop or turn the villain just folds out so much of what we beat and continues with everything better. On the river though I don't think I can find a fold with this hand. We block a lot of the strong hands (AA, JT, JJ) and there are some missed draws like KQ and AQ that an aggressive villain could be barrelling with.

Is there any fold to 3Bet stat?

I don't like the passive oop preflatcall against this 67% + 50% barrel stats.

His OR EP Range is maybe: AT+, 98+, 22+, KJs
Against a potsize 3Bet pre, he can fold a lot of this hands.
Unfortunately, he is IP against us and call a little bit wider. But our 3Bet looks pretty strong, because we raise against a UTG open.

I think I 3Bet this hand pre and take the initiative oop to me. You can hit the flop very well with this hand.

As played:
Tricky postflop action.
My main problem is the 1/2 Pot Bet at the flop and than Potsitze Bet at the turn to a total blank.
It looks like, try to put more pressure against hero and not for value...

I like the flop and turn call. A raise makes the pot to huge with TPTK. Indeed the board is very straight draw heavy... If you raise to 2$ or something, maybe he shove it or feel committed at the turn. Don't like this with AJ in this spot.

At the river there a lot of missed straight draw combos (AK, AQ, KQ)
And a Villain with CBet 67% and 50% Turn, can double barrel with this hands and a gutshot.
Because of the strange turnbetsize I tend to call. The riveshove is also very polarized.

But now in my situation it sounds easy to say "call it".
At the table it is a different situation. Maybe he has AA, KK and you save your stack here.

Is the 5bb open standard for this villain?

I'm a bit of an old nit, I'd just fold pre.

Good question!

vs. a 10/8 player I agree with you.

Sorry guys, I was away for a bit.

I did not have a lot of reads on villain so I am not sure about the 5bb open being standard or not. I can say it is one reason I was nervous about a 3! pre. I did not want to build a big pot OOP, but in a vaccumm I think the larger open skews more to handls like AK, AQ than it does to overpairs.

I've been trying to be more disciplined in my laydowns and it has been paying off, but I was not sure if this was taking it too far. My bankroll was built on LHE back in the day and some of the things that made me a good LHE player (calling down light for one) has always held me back at NL.

If I could do it over again I would 3bet/f pre. If I was called though it is a tough spot oop.

I would 3b pre and go from there.
