Folding the flop with nut overs and second nut flush draw is pretty bad imo, sure in hindsight you lost the minimum. This won't always be the case. Sounds you have a weird case of tilt which skews your mind. Or you just haven't played that many hands..

This is complex and takes into account more than just cards being dealt. It’s when they are being dealt that nobody could believe the guy had it. Like sitting down and giving the most aggro player in the world AA 3 hands in a row. And hooking opponents up with hands like 78s or TT that would be worth playing against a maniac you have notes on. Then not only setting up pre deals also fixing board cards. AA vs 78sh. Flop 9hTh3s Villain bets. If money doesn’t go in on flop here it will eventually generallly speaking. To me that’s set up. Because against a tighter player it might not be worth calling with those types of hands but when they give the maniac AA 3 times in a row he’ll probably get paid. Especially if he just sat down.

I can tell you know a fair bit but are missing some fundamentals and that is all it takes to be a loser instead of smashing it.

Also in regards to the article that I was referred to about weak-tight. The post is 100% flawed. In doesn't take into account any real evidence as to how the poster puts together his information.

All players play different styles and the article doesn't take into any context whatsoever what the table conditions are or what the particular mood the voters were in when they voted.

If for example, players were recently winning they may expect to be called a little less often when they voted.

They may have been on a losing streak when they guessed they would be called more often with the lesser hand.

That doesn't provide any conclusive evidence as to how everybody is weak tight or that even weak-tight is a bad way to play.

If game conditions are right, playing weak tight may be the most profitable way to play based on table conditions.

If you are constantly changing the way you play to balance, then you can't be pigeonhold anyway.

Honestly you should stop playing poker for a bit. Some of these hands are plain awful. It seems you want to go mental with second nut flush draw just to show how rigged it is when you don’t hit?

I think the JQd is check call flop, Check fold turn (possibly check call depending on sizing) if you don’t hit. Sure it may seem weak, but you are playing 5NL.

Clearly OP does not understand basic probabilities.

I'm about to take my past 1000 hands and run to see when I flop a flush draw how many actually filled up and how many didn't.

Anybody with a brain thats smarter than me tell me if this makes sense at all.
I just took my last 3318 hands and manually went over them.

I wanted to see if the math checks out and I dont think it does at all. I'm being ripped off big percentages.

Anyway, what I did is I took all those hands and reduced them only to suited hands dealt to me. Any two suited.

I then further reduced these to me holding suited hands preflop and actually being able to see a flop whether or not I am involved in the pot.

This reduced my numbers to 538 hands.

Of those 538 hands where I could visually see the flop I hit a flush draw....53 times. By my math that works out to 9.85%. I'm suppose to flop my flush draw 10.94 percent. I'm running more than 1% below expected. Is that right? Fine.

I'm sure some guys will say thats variance or doesnt make a lot of difference and I guess I would agree.

Here is what really gets me though.

I further reduced these hands to hands where I could actually see the turn.

I had 38 of these.

From what I've read Im suppose to hit my flush draw on the turn 19.1% of the time.

Of the 38 flush draws where I could see the turn I completed 4 of these. Thats 10.5%. Thats a full 8.6 percent lower than expected?

I’d like to do this with a larger sample. If anyone knows how I can do that quick and easy please let me know.
