Is calling river ok? I figured he'd raise worse 9s (T9, J9, Q9) some of the time to justify calling. Maybe not? lol.

I think not betting flop was a mistake. And as nitty as it may seem, river raises like that are unlikely to be worse 9s. There’s straights and boats out, and my money is on a boat. Bet fold river imo
