OK so weird QQ spot pre

UTG is 8/4 so flatting makes sense, if he was fishy or opened a little wider/never folded to 3 bet then I think I 3 bet here.

MP Villain is xxxluckODIrishxxxxx didn't have a lot of hands on him looks like he enjoys 3 betting a lot in LP (like 5% all clustered in LP so far over like 300 hands). Don't know if he has a HUD or is aware of UTG stats enough to know this is a terrible bluff squeeze spot, but his sizing and the UTG nittiness make me lean toward folding. On the other hand he does this so much I'm thinking about clicking it back or shoving over but then it is really expensive to see if he has KK+ or not. And if I click it back I have to get it in I can't really put in $17 and fold I don't think?

What to do?

Doubt he's squeezing light if an 8/4 opens UTG. I'd fold. Over 2.4k hands I have him 3b'ing significantly less fwiw.

fwiw i think fold > flat > ship even tho shipping might spaz him out.

flatting seems bad because AK gets to play really good against us - either it c.f. when it misses, or we are in an awkward spot when the flop comes ten high and we really can't get in ahead of anything.

Definitely willing to be persuaded though about flatting better than shipping. Don't you think AK calls a ship?

AK should snap a ship there.

Villain is such a nit I don't think he ever shows up with less than KK here

The more I think about this hand the more I want to ship but folding here can never be a huge mistake whereas shipping and having him show up with AA would suck.

If you backraise here your hand is so transparently JJ-QQ that villain is going to have a hard time not shipping AK, so I don't know that we necessarily narrow his range by 4betting. So if you think he's squeezing AK vs the nit's open (and if you don't think the nit is in fact this nitty, sample size etc), then $19 and call a shove.

Why's flatting better than 4bet/shipping?

I've seen him squeeze pretty light in this spot. I'm not folding here.

EP raiser in both cases was a 9/7 type. Squeeze is 7.5% in my db.

i must be playing with a different player than some of you, i have him at like 17/12/ 6%3bet...i also want to shove but somehow he has had it every time i get in a hand like this with him

It's funny, but I play super loose/unpredictable at 25NL and can run like 38/22 over short stretches, and I've seen reg types (I assume they're regs because they run 13/10 and play a bunch of tables, but they're relatively new to me) actually follow me around when I change tables and try to sit on my left like I'm some kind of big fish... I love that

I dont think flatting here is bad, if u think he is capable of squeezing. Most of the time your QQ is going to be an overpair to the board and u can check/call. I dont think regs at nl50 are very capable of running 3barrel bluffs, and most just give up with Ak unimproved.

^ OK so the plan is to call and c/c 1 if QQ flops an overpair, then c/f or c/c turn depending on villain bet sizing?

Also would you crai on like 332 or 542 or some such flop?

Flatting here is prolly better because if hes light squeezing here he will probably do it with the wrong kind of hands like jj and tt. If you ship here all you achieve is that he folds all his random bluffs and gets it in with KK+ AK which are still a good part of his range.
