I like check/calling this turn. If he continues on the river it will probably be a fold, but maybe not if you think he'll take this line with 2 pair. If the turn goes check/check then you can bet on the river and get value. If your opponent has a moderate hand you're more likely to get a call here than if you led the flop and turn. If river is a diamond, check/folding is best. If river is a str8 card, probably check/calling is best. If river boats then lead river and hope for a raise so you can ship it all-in if your opponent hasn't done so already.
Leading the turn is gross because there isn't as much value that you can get out of your hand. You're probably going to get 2 streets of value at most, you might as well go the pot controlling route. By checking the turn you also allow your opponent to bluff you.
