Hero is generally new to the game, but the feeling is it's a weaker table than your average 400NL game (took place on PPPoker in a private club).

4 limpers, including villain in MP2
Hero limps behind with Q 9
BB checks

Flop (Pot 18): 92Q
Villain leads for 22, Hero raises to 66, villain calls (everyone else folds)

Turn (Pot 150): 92Q7
Villain checks, Hero bets 90, villain calls

River (Pot 330): 92Q76
Villain leads 165

My question: What type of player does villain have to be to turn this from a call into a fold, and vice-a-versa? At the time, my read on villain was a weak one and was proven wrong later in the game anyway. I'm more curious to learn how to better evaluate this specific spot against different types of villains. Thanks!

ya don’t limp behind with q9o

i guess we’re on the button (hard to tell but we act after Mp2) but i still hate it.

i’d also bet turn bigger, 60% seems a bit small for such a wet board and you’re not running into QQ/99 (both of which you block and the action pre eliminates) almost ever here. 22 is a possibility, as are strong pair + draw or combo draw hands.

as played you’re pretty capped OTR: you have weak flushes, 22, and two pair in your range (99/QQ are mandatory raises pre, along with most AXss hands). could go either way, this sort of river lead is player dependent and never balanced.
