I'd scratch my head a little if this was a nit and probably call and hope they didn't flip over a better set and had an over pair. Against a recreational player though I'm calling. You would be amazed at some of the crap they turn over in these kind of spots lol yeah occasionally they will have the straight, or a better set but that's a small handful out of a large range. They also have a large amount of bluffs too if they are maniac.

Presuming they are rec anyway given the small sample size but looks that way.

Yeah, I called and he turned over 44.

Tbh, I'm really struggling with working out how to react to crazy fish-aggression. Maybe my mental game isn't right and I'm too results-oriented.

Putting fish on ranges is a lot of 'guessing work/assuming', I feel, and it's driving me nuts haha.

Yeah I feel ya man lol usually the way to go with fish is to value bet/value call as they will call and bet wide with mediocre hands. Trying to bluff them will just rinse your money (I've learned this the hard way lol) they will still be there on the turn with any piece of the flop, draws included. Isolate them if you are in position. As frustrating as they can be you wanna try and get in pots with them as much as you can, with any top pair you can value bet. If they are re-raising you, evaluate the hand and player type. Recreational fish and recreational maniacs will play a little different.

good folds, don't make it your job to fold everything
thin value too

I would just donk 1/2p at these stakes as every pair, Ax, 7x, 6x aren't going anywhere. fish will continue with non Ahigh broadways as well

ap raise bigger and don't fold, you don't block 54/65/64, fish prob stacks off with a pair + straight draw, 6x and a lot more than that
