Playing a late night session and friend insists I need to call the 3 bet with this hand, and it plays out like this:

My inclination is that it's -EV to even call the 3bet, let alone play the hand like this, because you're either going to win a little or lose alot.

Let me know what you think thanks!

AP fold to 3B

The above is true for 100BB stacks but fact that we are playing 80BB and face a > 3x 3B make your play even more questionable.

AP just call the flop bet. What are you trying to achieve by raising here? He is never folding better and unlikely calling worse.

Sorry to say it mate but you completely butchered this.

I wouldn’t raise 86s under the gun and then call a 3bet oop. Villains range should be pretty strong and u will prob have xf a ton of flops. I’d call if a 3bet ip. at 100bb though

+1 to all of this. Raising PF is a little too loose, calling the 3-bet OOP is bad, c/r'aising flop is horrible.
