I take that back maybe would have played the river different... but against this type of opponent i want value from all his Ax flush draws that missed the flush but caught the ace on the river.. I also can see him calling with pocket pairs like TT,JJ,KK that he got attached too although he may be three betting those pre.. also i have seen these type of opponents call river bets like this with absolutely nothing just because they "thought you were bluffing".. but to tell you the truth I didn't even see 45 as an option, but it does make since given the player type.

Maybe could have saved a little on the river by betting smaller, but would you have folded to the reraise?

Hard for villain to go anywhere with all the outs he had. Even if you sized up the turn, with those stats I think villain is in this for the long haul.

It's called a cooler. Take notes how loose v is and be happy there are players like this

I know.. I just have been getting into these spots a lot lately. Should I up my bet sizing?
or would that make me unbalanced?

You don't need to be balanced against this type of player, he isn't paying attention. Bet bigger with your value hands and smaller with your bluffs (if you think you have enough FE against this Villain, which is questionable a lot of the time).

I would do 2 things....1-up my preflop raise size against him. Add another BB until he stops calling.

2-adjust your sizing, make it as obvious as you want, but HAMMER him when you have a good value hand.

This is a spot where sizing up on the turn would make sense. Lots of draws in villains and your range. A Q turn makes it less likely you have a Q. I just don’t really understand the river jam. The only hand we beat that is calling is JQ..

I think i like betting like 2.50 on the turn to charge the max from his drawing hands. plus as mentioned before by someone the second queen makes it much less likely that you have a Q. on the river we can probably size down to get called by the missed Axdd hands. its going to be pretty gross when we face a raise but even with a hand like he has he cant go 100% crazy since AQ could definitely be in our range. lets also note he did not raise on the river after making his hand. if we bet 2.50 on the turn and get called the pot will be ~8.20. I'd probably go for a smaller size in the 3-3.5 range. if he raises we can decide what we want to do depending on the sizing

"The Q on the turn makes it less likely you have a Q"

Opponent is a fish so isn't thinking like that. The Q is a bad card because it's less likely HE has a worse one.

I'd bet more on the flop (plenty of worse hands can call: worse Queens, most pocket pairs, A5, A4, 54, flush draws and most of those will just as happily call a street for 3/4 post as they will for half pot. The rest seems OK.

Reload and get playing again quicksticks because that table looks soft AF.

I like the fact that you are aggresive with your hand but I think you should be way more aggro on the turn. As for the flop, if you think that betting more than half pot would scare some second best or draws sure go for half pot. Otherwise, make him pay =)

On the turn you are definitely ahead and should take advantage of his passive/calling station style. If he wasn't scared of the Q on the flop, I don't think that he will be scared of another Q on the turn.

Remember one thing aswell, he only had to pay for 2BB to see the flop. With his VPiP, we can assume that his range could be quite wide for the cheap price he gets.

On the river, I think betting smaller would be better. Think of it this way, if we bet that large, what second best hand do we beat ? Maybe, 23s, Qxs, A2s, A3s. I would doubt that he calls with A4s or A5s. Aswell, we have to take into consideration that he could have a straight here.

Now, what are the hands that he could have in his range that crushes us. 22, 33, 45s and AQ. AA might be possible if he is somewhat trappy.

The big question here is : when you fire for so much on the river, do you expect to get called by second best hand or no ?
