I know this is considered small stakes, but you guys know villian the best so i decided to post here.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($203)
Hero (CO) ($314.10)
Button ($203)
SB ($425.70)
BB ($434.65)
UTG ($338.05)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, J
2 folds, Hero raises to $6, 1 fold, SB raises to $22, 1 fold, Hero calls $16

Flop: ($46) 6, J, 4 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($46) 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $30, SB raises to $100, Hero..?

Preflop is not standard for me, but we were a bit deeper and I wanted to play a 3b pot in position.

Gambler 3bs pretty liberally preflop (he just 3b 55 vs me on the button) but I've found that he plays relatively straightforward post flop. Still my line looks pretty weak, and he knows I'll very rarely have over pairs here.

I'm not sure what to make of his line. I think he could potentially do this with AA or a set, although I'm not sure why he wouldn't just cbet. I also considered him having something like 67 here.

Overall, i thought it was a confusing spot, any thoughts?

fold pre, but as played i probs fold to his raise now. if you call his turn raise you would probably have to call on a blank river as well, get rid and wait for a better oppurtunity imo

Yep, the river is where it gets dicey. I call here pretty much always.

So if i call here, assuming he shoves the river, what rivers am i calling on and what rivers am i folding on?

The thing I cant help thinking is that he should be very aware that I am rarely strong here

+1 for fold pre.

As played, I'd go with your gut. He's definitely aware of his image and tailors his game to each player, IME.

Call most rivers. If he can have a straight draw, he can have a flush draw, etc... so unless like the 8s or 3s comes, I generally call.

But this is why we fold pre most of the time.

Fold pre. It's really a pretty simple argument. Even an aggressive 3-bettor raises less hands than he would UTG. You wouldn't cold call QJo to an UTG raise so why would you call a 3-bet with it?

On the hand, I don't hate call call, but your argument about calling because your are always weak here means that you to strengthen your hand range in this spot. If your strongest hand here is QJo then a good opponent will be able to exploit you in this spot.

I dont agree with the easy "fold pf" but wo. Call and reevaluate river.

When you are playing with the best, raising and calling both become -EV. All you can do is fold.

Under normal circumstances with g2k4, I'd lean more towards a fold on the turn. He's usually going to stick it in with better or worse on the river if you call, and you don't want to stack off against his range here.
