don't know if i like my fold. it was like my 5th hand at 25nl from 10nl so I was playing kinda scared.

here's what i thought though..

villain was a fishy passive player with a AF of .9

knowing that, I don't think he would raise me on the flop and bet the turn like he did with just a flush draw..

if I make the call on the turn I think I will face a river shove a good amount of the time here

do you guys think I should have called the turn and evaluated the river or was my fold here the correct move? also is my though process correct here or am i way off?

If you call turn you need to call river if draws miss, you will find better hands to make Money.

I was looking at this hand and just to help me learn, lets pretend I had AJh+

would you then call the turn bet and if so how would you play on the river..

I think the turning point of the hand is betting the flop. You hold the king of hearts so youre slimming down the amount of hands that youre beating that can call your flop bet. Only things that can call you on the flop are hands with a ten in them or maybe pocket pairs. Since you're holding the king of hearts I think there's less reason to bet to protect against the flush draw. I'd advocate to check the flop or bet smaller, like 1/3 pot, to keep worse hands in, and protect your range of having a ten yourself sometimes.

As for AJh+ I think you're still in a weird spot but a check may be even BETTER, since flush draws are all locked up and if you don't already have the best hand you have a lot of equity to improve against the aforementioned pocket pairs that would call a bet anyway. Check/call flop and check/call turn with AJh+ IMO.

what has V shown down for hands? Yeah, he looks like a passive fish, but the true tell is what he has shown down. Does he only bet with 2p+? TPTK+? I would need to know that.

As for AJhh.....I have made it a personal rule to never bloat a pot with a FD on a paired board. I can/would/will bet either the flop or turn, but usually I fire one bullet. Being in or out of position kind of determines which street I bet on. Mostly, I'm looking to get to the river with a medium/small sized pot when the river turns.

His raise otf vs 2 villains with this sizing is pretty strong, so unless you have any particular readings on him that he is a donk raising air or smth like that, fold turn.

Also, AJhh is a check/call otf imo, do not like to bloat pot with fd on paired boards.
