When l/rr a hand that is not AA/KK, what type of player are you doing this to?
I'm thinking standard TAG.
To be fair, I think at .25/.50 the best play with PP's in early position is to raise them. Players at this level play more weak-tight than anything.
If I am l/rr with AK/AQ I am wanting to do it to someone with a wide raising range. Depending on how things go, I may min-raise so that I hit my SPR and then commit. This gets him to put a lot of money in preflop with worse hands. However, as more callers get in I start to reraise a bit larger to just take down the money preflop. If I am l/rr'ing with a PP or SC, it is probably as a squeeze, so my raises tend to be a lot larger.
If the player is a good player I may just fold to his raise sometimes.
So, if it is AK/AQ and I limp and if certain players raise then I may reraise, fold, or call. Most of the time it is a reraise though, but limping gives me the flexibility to pick my spots. If it is not AA-KK/AK-AQ, then I am probably reraise as a squeeze, so that is more against a player who likely has a wide range.
