about a 45min video. ran 17/14/3.5 overall. couple of odd spots...so hopefully ppl can give some feedback on them. esp the 65o SB spot.

(also, nice mic for this vid. i dont like the quality...so i wont use it again. but thats why the sound is a lil muffled and bad)

enjoy!

Thanks. For a new-ish player this is so insightful.

Your assumptions about peoples ranges, even when sample sizes were less than 200 in some cases, were really accurate.

Is there a definitive thread which explains the reasoning behind these ranges? It's definitely where i'm falling down. I need to identify these poorer situations where i'm prone to attempt to steal and maneuver away from them, or just approach them differently.

I'll definitely be watching this another couple of times and make some notes. For my game, this is one of the most helpful mico fr vids i've seen and some more would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

just fold the 65o from the small blind after the 3bet -as you said - you havn't history - but bleh - you got only 16 hands with him - so you dunno anything - also i don't like the push that much - overbet is just bleh imo

5:45 bottom left: 68s it's folded to you - you are on the button - and you fold - steal the blind and make some history !

btw: could it be that i saw another 1 or 2 vids of you? (your sn seems familiar )

but the play seems solid

19:15 the AKo hand you got 4bet shoved on. I'm guessing this is pretty much a call for you most of the time considering you are getting 1.6:1 and you only need 38% equity.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 37.057% 08.19% 28.87% 25243836 88972014.00 { AKo }
Hand 1: 62.943% 34.08% 28.87% 105026856 88972014.00 { KK+, AKs, AKo }

So if you can include QQ or maybe JJ this is an autocall, but how would you weight his range here, AA/KK 50%, AK 40%, and QQ 10% maybe? I haven't played 100nl before so I don't know how light his range could be. I usually run into this situation vs. shortstacks so I call but I don't see much of this from full stacks.

Also, what's your opinion on using SPR? It probably doesn't apply as much to your game since you are quite good at stealing pots postflop and have pretty good hand reading skills, at least a hell of a lot better than I do, but do you ever use it to set up hands preflop? I noticed a couple of top pair type hands you had an SPR around 10 and I run into tough spots when this happens (I have to ask this obv. as I just finished reading PNLHE).

AK hand:

my thoughts durrin the hand were this: a good portion of the time i felt KK+ was gonna flat call preflop here. this is because no1 behind him can setmine profitably, and it gives him extra value from the people behind him while bloating a 1.25SPR pot (aka, auto stacks-in pot). i figured because of this his range was skewwed more towards AK/QQ. hence the call. i tried to communicate that in the vid...but i dont think i did a good job (albeit...not an easy thing to do)

SPR:

SPR is an oversimplification of poker. however, i do use the basics of it to plan hands, esp pf. however, i find using SPR to play postflop is a lil more beneficial. (although as far i understood it, SPR is to be used as a preflop metric). i like to consider how many SPR i am leaving on the turn, and more importantly, on the river. knowing how many SPR are left of the river will help u VB better...which is why i like to leave ppl with about 2/3SPR on the river if possible. dont focus as much on SPR as that book makes u think u shud...focus on bet sizing, hand reading, and strong preflop play

(the main thing about SPR i agree with is the 13SPR rule...stay away from that in general and if possible)

Thanks for that advice. I have used it to stay out of trouble with one pair hands - the 13 SPR rule - and the rest kind of it seemed like standard strategy to me so I see what you're saying about it. I thought I might be missing something when I read it. I'm definately going to be watching more videos from you - I assume you will make more - to work on my bet sizing/hand reading etc.

ty for posting these. I'm going to start entering notes with your style for tilt control. In the 2nd one it seems like you stay tilted for a while after the AQ<QQ hand though. Very entertaining
