I am working on this show. There are two streams. One with a conventional announcing crew and the Snoopcast.



Throughout the night they are drinking gin and juice and Snoop is blazing. In the real feed we never cut to them full screen except for an introduction.

Is there any compression on the mics? It sounds like there's a wide dynamic range.

Not sure. There were audio issues the first week that should have improved for last Tues show. While I am video switching the show I never hear the Snoop audio during the event unless we listen in for the main broadcast.

Hopefully at some point I'll find out which stream has the larger audience.

I hope they keep doing this because you can tell there's some really heavy pressure on Snoop to say stuff. Once he gets more comfortable this could actually be pretty good. For now it definitely feels forced but I hope they don't cancel the idea too early.

Audio is better, but still some issues imo.

It looks like someone spoke to them about their mic technique, cause they seem to be consciously trying to be closer to the mic when they're speaking, which is good. What's bad is they get close when they scream as well as just speaking, and they're distorting the mics when they scream. I would think snoop should have some decent mic technique, but I don't know. Many proper singers have horrible mic technique, and I don't know if that's something rappers are even concerned about.

I think I can tell there's compression being used on the mics, which should be a no brainer. I wonder how much though.

If they would stay in close when they're talking and then move back when they scream, it would make the audio engineer's life a whole lot easier.
