Actually 20+ years ago most of the names were all normal like Bob, Bruce, Linda, etc.
Lately you lot have been trying to play catch up with America in giving unique names.

I am reminded of a story that happened a few years ago
I was outside a local Planetarium and some 1st grade class was waiting outside to get in. Eventually they did go inside and afterwards I noticed up near the wall they were waiting by was a piece of paper. I figured one of the kids had dropped it so I went and picked it up with the intent of giving it to one of the teachers. It turned out to be a list of students in the class.
I did a real life double take when I read the list. About half the names were these bs yuppie/alternate spelled names. Stuff like Spring, Ranger, Aytumn, Kaytlyyn, etc. Unfortunately I threw the list out but I should have keep it to show people. It was so bizarre that I think most people would have just assumed it was a fake list and wouldn't believe me anyway.
