To be honest I'm glad I don't have to buy a new system. I only bought my Xbox one like two years ago and am still enjoying the heck out of it. I'm glad this new system doesn't make my original Xbox one basically defunct. I don't have a 4K tv yet so don't think it would have made much sense for me to upgrade anyway. I'll probably get it eventually (both a 4K tv and the new Xbox) but for now I'm just glad they are still gonna be making games that work for my original Xbox one.

My buddy has an Xbox one and wants me to buy one so we can play games at night and stuff. My interest in games/time available has waned considerably over the last couple years, but my favorite games include starcraft 2, heroes of the storm, Geometry wars from the 360 (that game was sweet), Fallout, Sim City, stuff like that. StarCraft probably being favorite game of all time.

Is it worth buying the Xbox one and shelling out probably $600 for the console and games? He pretty much only plays FIFA/NBA/call of duty, I am not a big fan of going to sports events but not sure how much fun they are to play as a video game, haven't played since Madden 99 and NFL BLITZ, which to be fair was pretty sweet.

Think i'm going to get use out of this, or is it going to rust in the corner? Xcom2 looked fun but that's not multiplayer and I can just buy that on PC. Destiny looked interesting too but only with friends and he doesn't have much interest in playing that with me apparently.

$600?? you can get a new console for $199 right now that comes with a controller. 3 used games (always buy sports games used from gamestop or a store like it) shouldn't cost you more than $400-450 total.

If you aren't a huge sports fan... idk.. I don't see a lot of time being sunk into sports games but ymmv.

destiny, you can find plenty of people here on 2+2 and on reddit to group up with if you want to play that as a group.

WWE 2K15 supports 6 at the same time. Death Squared supports up to 4 but is awesome for parties and spectators.

I generally love these types of games, but witness was pretty meh for me after the first couple of hours. Although there was one puzzle near the end that I thought was extremely creative and worth the game alone. 7/10.

Just added Morrowind and Jade Empire to the backwards compatibility and I think you can just download them starting today .Can’t wait I haven’t played Morrowind in like a decade . Also added a bunch of Star Wars games like KOTOR2 but those don’t come out for a week or so

I kinda wonder if Microsoft's overall business strategy (moving away from Windows, moving towards cloud stuff and the boring **** that all the other tech companies are doing) means leaving Xbox behind. It seems like it's been more of a prestige thing for them and never been making them a ton of $$, yeah? I wouldn't be surprised if they'd just stopped trying.

Selling a $500 Xbox for $75 when he could return it for a full refund. I was about to e-mail out of curiosity when I decided to Google the e-mail address listed. A bunch of similar listings come up from around the country and have all been flagged for removal.

EDIT: Found some other listings posted/updated around the same time today for other really discounted PS4 and Xbox. Different e-mail address, similar listing format. Same map location, too.

Man, now that I've noticed that scam Craigslist post, I'm spotting a lot of them.

Backwards compatible is truly a godsend. I've been playing Kotor and Morrowind like a fiend.

Picked this up today and played a few games, it has an online game mode which I think is great for games like this since the pitching/batting duel and mind games are so much fun against other people. I'm 7-0 so far but had a couple close ones, I think two ended on walk-off hits in the 5th and 6th innings (online games are 5 innings unless you go to extra).

A couple minor complaints:
- fielding is kind of annoying, the CPU will auto-field fly balls for you but it feels like they run slower when they do, and there's no marker that shows where the ball's going to land so it's insanely hard to control yourself - feels like you can't really win whichever way you pick
- you can dive for ground balls/line drives near your fielders but I've yet to successfully catch one, feels like they don't actually dive to the ball, they just dive in a canned animation and gl to you on hoping it lands where the ball's going

But, pitching/batting are good and they feel fair, which is prob the most important thing. Baserunning takes a minute to get the hang of but works once you do, throwing is good, it's really just fielding that feels like it misses.

In philly I’m betting it’s the same mfers I tried to email and they have an auto reply saying it’s already sold but they have other items listed elsewhere. I didn’t click your link but if it’s something similar, they’re scum. With that being said, I bought from someone else on CL with a similar price over a year ago without an issue.

I've been thinking about it and I'm guessing it's a scam where they try to get the buyer to pre-pay.
