Ok with the relative low posting in this forum and no one else really taking much care of it I will step up a little more. Not that we need it mind you but having a "March" thread into June just seems wrong. So lets just have one one mega LC thread and when it gets to super huge we can close it.

I liked the idea of having one thread per patch. Or maybe one thread per major content patch, so like a 5.0 thread, 5.2 thread, and a 5.4 thread.

The 50% off services sounds pretty tempting. All my plate is Horde on Mug'thol (Paladin, DK, Warrior) I really would like to bring my Warrior back over. I need to check his /played at 85. I'd be willing to bet it's only a few days. I like Warrior tanking a lot, but I didn't like that I didn't have much self healing for those "just in case" moments. That and transmogging shields is the nuts. I might keep the Paladin Horde just so I could play with topher, Nofear, or Loki should they resub :P

Now that my Mage doesn't have too much to gain from LFR outside 1 or 2 pieces, I've been focusing a lot on alts. I like seeing the rotations that other classes use, and the fun spells they have (Leap of Faith!) I've gotten my Priest to 90 and through all the 5.0 LFR's. As much as I bitched about my Mage spending 60+ rolls trying to get a Sha-touched weapon pre-5.2, the Spirit Mace dropped on my first Empress kill, didn't even need a bonus roll. lol rng

A friend and I are talking about doing some leveling together. He said he deleted his level 74 Paladin because it felt weird when he came back to it now after having not touched it since Wrath. So now he's started a new one O_o We're going to level with him going Holy while I level a Brewmaster Monk. They both have almost full BoA's which will make the leveling fly by. Keg smash hits regular mobs his level for about 75% of their health.

It's decided. I'm bringing my Warrior over tonight. I'll finally have a Worgen! Him being a Jewelcrafter was the deciding factor.

Flex raids. Interesting concept.

As much as I hate the idea of scaling based on # of players, it looks like they're implementing this the right way. In between LFR and normal is basically the perfect target audience from what I can tell, or at least it always seems that way when the idea pops up on the forums, so it shouldn't really bother the people like me that don't like it.

I didn't read too much about it but does it share a lockout with LFR or normal/heroic?

3 separate lockouts. So you can run LFR, Flex, and Normal/Heroic and get loot from all 3 in the same week. Flex will distribute loot the same way LFR does.

inb4 the "normal" raiders QQ that flex will be "mandatory" for them to raid normals.

I always hate mandatory , but dont kid yourself LFR is just that right now. Unless you had all 3 of the previous raids on total farm and downing a few heroic bosses and rep grinded you wouldn't even make the basic ilvl requirements for ToT normals.

We are a 10n guild and one of the ones stuck on Horridon ( we finally did down him twice now) I really dont like that Blizz thinks I fall into the "target audience" for this ****. My group maybe..ok fine..but gahh.
The problem with flex is basically what i just said above. "Friends and family" wont want to do guild LFR [aka flex], they want to do "normal".The reason my group does get dragged down is because of the friend aspect [I been trying to kick an awful hunter for 2 months now and cant get the support cause ppl like them] and This hunter, I **** you not, believes they can do heroic content if they "just had the gear"...

Well, flex and normal lockouts will be separate, so you can do both if you got the time. I got lucky that LFR wasn't mandatory for me because I couldn't use any upgrades from it, but yeah, it's pretty much mandatory for a majority of raiders, and also why I think that LFR existing to "see the content" (Blizz's entire reason for putting in LFR in the first place) is fine, but there really shouldn't be any loot. When heroic raiding guilds are doing LFR because they need gear, that's an issue imo.

But yeah, if you're struggling on normal horridon lol at thinking you can do ANY heroic.

When you say mandatory, do you mean that you lose your raid spot if they check your Armory and see that you don't LFR boss kills equal to the number of weeks they've been available?

Mandatory as in Blizzard bans your account if you don't run LFR?
Mandatory as in it's awkward when people ask if you've run LFR already and you say "no"?

There is such a skewed concept of "Mandatory" when it comes to WoW. Dailies, LFR, etc. They're not mandatory unless you're actually in a guild that will kick you for not doing them.

Mandatory as it feels Mandatory to complete content.

I have a real problem with part of my group we have 5 what I would call progression Raiders, people who can pick up on a fight with in 2-7 pulls adapt to changes etc. Then i had some middle of the raods with in 10-15 they understnad wahts going on but you can rest assured they are "swiping the raid" at leat once a night. The last is the hunter above who, after 65 pulls said the following statment in vent
" I didnt know what actually happened when I got charged"

...!

Up until the last couple of weeks, our bad Hunter (1 bad Hunter out of 3 in our 10 man, lol) had the highest item level in the entire raid despite always competing with our Rogue for the lowest DPS. Most of the time they beat our Paladin tank and sometimes even the DK tank.

We were working on Tortos last night and after pull #15 I was mortified to see that I'd only managed to scrape together 30k. Even the Hunter had that doubled. Now I know what happens when your equipment reaches 0% durability.

I mean tanks with vegence stacks are redic, Im single tanknig horridon now and i think i reached 125? maybe 150? LFR on twins i rocked 215k...
( I'm a pally tank btw)

In anycase thats the story of our hunter too, we have 2 ( atleast one went BM so we have a hero) that she is 2nd highest geared in the group..Why? cause she gets carried through normal runs with another guild sometimes or gets made BOE gear cheaply. Shes not even good looking but what nerds will do for a pair of boobs and a vagina is amazing..

This playing hell with my addons. Particularly TidyPlates and VuhDo. VuhDo resets to default every time I reload my UI. It doesn't seem to be able to figure out what to do with the new profile. It does this if I choose Overwrite, Copy, or Discard when I'm applying my old profile. TidyPlates has reset itself several times in the past, most recently after Patch 5.2. This whole expansion it's been very hit-or-miss, taking a while to load or sometimes just refusing to show plates at all on certain mobs.

Does anyone else have a nameplate addon they really like? I'm looking for one that shows debuffs that I put on mobs on each individual mob so it's easy to track things like Nether Tempest, stacks of the Frostbolt debuff, etc. I doubt I use 1/10th of the functionality of TidyPlates, so it's becoming more trouble than it's worth.

MMO-Champion has a bunch of 5.4 PTR stuff up on their front page. The Garrosh model looks badass!

edit: Wow, now that I've read through most of the patch notes, there is some pretty awesome stuff. The pvp tier sets are out, the T16 set bonuses are out (Wow @ Mage tier bonus, very cool sounding). Virtual realms! People have been asking for that for a long time. I think the coolest thing about that will be the sort-of cross-realm raiding and Arena. Druids have more patch notes than you can shake a stick at.

Should I be saving my Spirits of Harmony for anything other than finding new gem recipes on a Jewelcrafter/Enchanter? I'm way behind on gem cuts, and it's going to take a while before I get to the point where I can cut all my own gems. It's 3 Spirits of Harmony per new recipe but I'm not sure what else I would use them for. And I've got all these Sha Crystals but have nothing to do with them, I kinda leveled Enchanting before I realized the good recipes were gated behind so many dailies, lol.

Use them for finding recipes. They're practically worthless, now, otherwise. Just don't forget to do your regular gem daily as well.

Could always sell the sha crystals tho
