It's based on attempts not unique players. It gives you stats for both. So if your level is really hard and has a lot of attempts, that's a good indication that your level is fun. If it's hard and people give up early then you have some work to do.

You get analytics on how many people played your level, completed it and starred it. You also see where the majority of deaths took place.

I didn't get a chance to play yesterday but I'll fire it up later and try the other levels posted itt. You can follow creators so everyone follow everyone and star each other so we can level up and get our levels up there.

Not at all. You get your moneys worth if all you do is play.

I just saw your post saying you don't have a Wii U. Just go grab one now. Not only is this a must own but there's also Mario Kart 8, DCKTF, 3D World, HW, Bayonetta etc. Wii U's library is insane.

If you don't own a Wii U by now you'll never buy one.

Is there a way to add secret warps/glitches like the original games had?

I have 3 regular wii controllers, and 1 wii motion plus controller. How well do the regular ones work with Wii U or am I going to want more motion plus ones?

You should be fine. Very few games need motion plus. Get a Wii U pro controller though.

The Wii u uses the motion hardly at all. No need for new controllers (other than a pro one)

Played all the levels itt - hammer throwing one is just trolly as **** and pissing me off cause it's possible to not be able to pass it

For the Mario Maker folks, look up a level by Miramou called Don't Lose Yoshi. It's ranked like 27. I finally finished it (probably 30 or so tries) and definitely comes from the mind of a twisted individual. Let me know what you all think.

Mario Maker has blown up on twitch. Seems to be a great streaming game with streamers playing viewers trolly levels. Haven't done much creating lately, I still haven't unlocked all the pieces and it's kind of annoying.

This may not be available in the US but this controller http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gioteck-GC-2.../dp/B00BB9GKB2 is a great alternative to the official Wii U pro controller. Much cheaper but functions perfectly. I use this for Bayonetta 2, a twitchy game, and there's no input lag that I can detect.

Looks like the Mario maker subreddit will be a huge source for getting fun to play levels

Knowing its user base, reddit seems like it'd be the worst place to get good levels

You're probably right - it's just so tilting that the most popular levels are the stupidest ones. It takes forever to find something good. There's tons of gold out there (ie Adam's koopa level) that I'll never see.

I think learning which threads to get into and which to avoid can go a long way.

Also, I never understood the "Reddit user base is the worst ever" thing. I find it to be incredibly helpful in a lot of different areas. Sure there are certain subreddits that are totally awful, but you could say that about certain sections of this forum as well.
