It's decent but the ergonomics of the fret-add-on thing make your hand sore after 10 minutes of play. I wouldn't worry about missing it.

If you like platformers, get N+. It's good.

It has sold more copies and more CONSOLES than any game ever. It is a ****load of fun to play with friends. I expect it to forever change sports gaming in the next generation of consoles. The only metric under which it can't be argued as game of the ages is that of the hardcore gamer.

Just because a whole lot of people buy/like something does not make it "good". There is an objective way to measure how good something is and sales is not it.

Wii Sports comes with a Wii Console (at least in the US, and, I think, Europe). It's the best selling game of this generation because every Wii Console sold counts as a copy of Wii Sports also (again, in the US/Europe). I don't know if it's the best selling game of all-time. SMB 1 came bundles with NES, which, I think, sold more than the Wii.

Is it "free"? Not really. Nintendo prices the console based on what's included with the console.

Should it count? I say yes. The reason the Wii is "different" is the motion controls. Most people's introduction to the motion controls is Wii Sports.

I got Gyromite and Duck Hunt on separate carts with my NES and had to buy SMB. I think they started bundling it with the non-R.O.B. NES SKUs. Was there ever a USA version of the NES that didn't come with SMB after R.O.B. was toast?
