I caved and bought BL3 because I'm a junkie with no self control. Loving it so far.

Have you ever tried Zachtronics games? They're all kind of programming-like, but Infinifactory might be the closest to an Incredible Machine type game (which I also enjoyed as a kid).

Dude, I don’t care. Buy whatever you want, just avoid grey market sites.

You still come off like an ass by doing the reverse, though. Like, you could have just said you were buying it. That’s why we’re making fun of you.

I hope at least you got it from Humble?

Yes - I'm loyal to GOG, Steam, Uplay, Origin, battle.net, Windows Store and probably more... srsly, wat?

I don't really know what choosing to not support someone who delivers a shitty service and are acting like total pricks while doing it, have to do with 'brand loyalty' or identity... you seem to be reading a bit too much into this and being needlessly defensive. Also - you were the one making an issue of how cool and spiteful you were for buying it from epic...

Weird hill to die on Fly. I also am confused on the brand loyalty part for not using epic store.

I didn't realise Untitled Goose Game was Epic exclusive which means I'll be getting it on Switch...

Me not buying BL3 has nothing to do with Epic and everything to do with:

- Plagiarising CodeHunters
- Randy Pitchford constantly lying about Duke Nukem Forever
- Stealing Sega's money
- Everything about Aliens Colonial Marines
- Buying Bulletstorm, removing original version and re-releasing it at full price
- Partnering with G2A
- Crowdfunding Homeworld 3 on fig with a $1 goal
- Randy Pitchford's USB stick

**** that guy.

Just tried Anno 1800 and I want to punch whoever designed the always online and the damn connectivity icon.

For no reason whatsoever the game goes from restricted NAT to open NAT every 3 seconds, and flashes a notification every time. It's the most annoying thing ever for something i care nothing about in my single player game.

Every 3 seconds I get a new notification with animation in the top right of the screen. I would be fine with just an icon changing color, but no, someone thought I really really needed to read "Connection enstablished, the game is online" every 3 damn seconds.

I'm uninstalling the game after one last try.

edit: holy shiiiiiiiit **** whoever designed that

Haven’t been playing many games lately and not following release news, any good multiplayer options out for xbone in last couple months or planned to release before Christmas? Most recently had played apex legends which was fun but I’m really not massive fan of the die once and over model.

Have you tried the xbox game pass for the xbox one? You can get the new gears and some other stuff to play on Xbox one.

GTA San Andreas free for PC

Unfortunately you have to use the Rockstar game launcher, and word is that it sucks. Sounds like it even takes longer to boot due to checking online connectivity.

But hey, free is free.

I have an unopened copy of GTA:SA that I bought for a few bucks at Target years ago. Now I just feel like an ******* for not playing it and wasting my money.

15 year old game that anyone with any interest in has picked up for a few dollars long ago.

Way to launch your launcher with resounding bang!

GTA5 for free would actually register with people. More people to soak for $35 for a new car in GTA Online.

I assume eventually Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a Rockstar Games Launcher exclusive.

Agree and I'll be surprised if they never do it.

I am loving Apple Arcade so far, there's already an incredible selection of high quality games. Really hope it does well and brings back some innovation/excitement to mobile gaming.

Most developers don't bother with mobile because it's so hard to make money without being F2P and in order to be F2P you need to spend a decent amount of time designing and implementing a monetization model which greatly affects the player's experience. Apple Arcade eliminates this and lets developers go back to concentrating 100% of the player. No more timers, currencies, ads or schemes etc.

Apple's subscription service. $5/month for a lot of premium games. All the games are mobile exclusive to Apple Arcade so no way to buy them outside of subscribing the service. It's a requirement that all games have no ads or paid DLC. All games need to support PS4 and Xbox controllers as well. There's already a really diverse mix of games and the quality of what I've tried so far has been pretty high. It's target audience probably doesn't fit most people here but I'm looking forward to it.

That's pretty intriguing. My brother might be interested in this, he likes to play mobile games on his apple tv. Thanks for the info!

I hope stuff like Apple Arcade kills off the ecosystem of terrible, F2P microtransaction games that have dominated mobile gaming for years. I just read the Clash Royale thread and stuff like that is an example of how bad monetization can ruin otherwise good games.
