My threshold for frustration is also lower - if I get stuck at a part because it’s dumb (as opposed to purposefully challenging), I’ll often just put it down and not come back.
Idk I just downloaded Destiny 2 from PS Plus and so far that’s feeling like it might unexpectedly hit the sweet spot of something that you don’t need super long sessions while being immensely satisfying to play with whatever time you get.
big time relatable post. its hard for me to play AAA games where i'm forced to care about the story, cos a) i'll often go weeks or months between plays and will have forgotten it all, and b) i like to listen to podcasts while i'm playing. so the story either has to be something i can totally ignore and it won't matter (Dark Souls, DOOM) or engrossing enough to give my full attention (Uncharted 4, Witcher 3).
a lot of games fall in between, which is why i spend so much time playing racing games and rayman legends and rocket league, and not whatever big new release i just bought, even if i'm actually enjoying the big new release.
