Looking at graphic setting is considered an imba skill now. Next up, key remapping will go out of the window, we don't want to make those pesky hard to reach keys to become pressable now, do we?
I guess I'm a have-not because I've never used an FOV slider despite it sounding extremely helpful...this is everyone's fault but mine.

Field of View/Vision. It's the horizontal and vertical maximum angle of your view cone "into the game world".

In theory it has to be set based on distance from the monitor and size of the monitor. In practice there are some catch-all values that work for most monitor types (i.e. 16:9, 16:10, 4:3 etc). For example a horizotal FOV of 90 degrees is very popular on widescreen monitors. It wasn't popular "back then" because all monitors had the same aspect ratio.

Setting a wrong FOV can lead to motion sickness and nausea, which makes a slider incredibly useful.

Field of view. Earlier you typically had to fiddle about with config-files to change it, but thankfully some games include it in their settings now.

Lol have not.

The FOV setting was huge in the original quake team fortress. Helped with sniping and what not

I didn't find out there were settings you could change via console command in counter strike to improve your connection to servers until a friend I introduced to the game started asking me about them.

Well that's a whole video for Total Biscuit right there.

It matches up with their refusal to add any options to the Hearthstone client beyond the extremely basic settings they have. Casual Blizzard is Casual.

Not sure how he's trying to tard it up. Biscuit has lost credibility from a large portion of his audience because of his involvement with the gamergate crap. He's also not the brightest bulb of the bunch in general.

I always thought he got too much hate because most of the stuff he has done is fine...but he has definitely gone off the chain with gamergate crap. Not surprised that a guy who is basically a professional ******* is among those circles

Do you mean you don't know what #gamergate is, or are you saying you don't know what TB's connection to GG is?

Because the answer to the first question is gonna take a minute.

At this point I just face-palm whenever anyone mentions that whole mess. People really need to learn chill out on the internet, no one really cares about anyone elses loud opinion except to use it as an excuse to get their moral jimmies rustled and vent some steam about it. As far as I've noticed being a casual TB watcher, he comes across as not wanting to get involved which I was grateful for, but doesn't surprise me that he's trolling around on twitter. We could have far less intelligent and useful public faces for PC gaming, but he could be smarter about it.

He writes these insane incoherent twitlongers about how he's "sticking up for his audience" by supporting #GG, so it's absolutely not dumbness. He knows what he's doing, he's picking a side.
