It's bizarre that the big ticket A team for Assassin's Creed is such trash while their offyear squad does work. Caveat: I don't actually know how Ubisoft parcels out the development, but I assume they have multiple teams working in parallel as they make so many of these games.

Not sure why this series basically prints money for Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed II was the only game of the series I ever played and I found it to be pretty boring, honestly. At first it was kind of exciting to climb around and assassinate fools but it quickly got repetitive to the point that I couldn't even pick it up anymore. There were a LOT of frustrating game components that don't seem to have been fixed since then, according to what I've read about Unity.

TotalBiscuit trash talked the game pretty bad. Stated he was not going to do a "wtf is..." on the game for now and stated the game was totally broken. Apparently he can't run the game on SLI gtx 980s on the third highest graphic preset without crashing and he can't even get steady framerates. That's 1200$ of GPUs there, btw.

I do agree that the combat system is horrible, and the "parkhour" elements are kinda silly in the way they work, but I've had a ton of fun, particularly in Brotherhood and Black Flag (yarrrr matey).

2 and Brotherhood were both excellent, and IV got great reviews(I was too scared off by how awful 3 was to buy it yet, I was planning on getting the AC Xbox One bundle but probably not after this ****).

The flaws of 3 and (what reviewers say) Unity are more about nuts and bolts execution than any broader philosophy stuff. The game design is fine, the development is where they drop the ball. The running jumping sneaking stabbing idea works.

Anyone heard of phantom chronicle on FB? Surprisingly good tcg alternative to Hearthstone. P2w is almost non-existent and single player is way better. Though still lacking a mp function. Art is amazing!

Or, after getting into that relationship on the side, what if you discover that you just need some space and had a way to break it off? You know, without having your soon-to-be ex-lover assassinated. Were the console/PC versions of Bioshock Infinite as ugly as this Mac port I am playing? It looks like it was released in 2006. I know that it seems to be one of those "love it or hate it" games - right now I'm not sure which way I'm leaning but I know that it looks and plays poorly (screen tearing on a completely up to date iMac), just curious if these aspects are an overall problem or an OSX problem.

^Looked at some gameplay videos, it appears to me that the port is just 'ugly' compared to the native game - worse resolution, worse textures, worse animations. Not really sure how to describe it in better detail. That's what I get for gaming on OSX, I guess.

I'm looking for some awesome cheap ps3 games - the classics I missed the first time around that are bargain bin at this point with ps4 out. For example, Mass Effect 2 is like $8 and I feel like I should buy that (I know nothing about the series)? Some games like Dragon Age and Skyrim didn't depreciate that much but it seems there are classics that are basically free. Any recommendations?
