Outside of some of the more exemplary bundles (Indie bundles 5,7,8 and the Origin one), I don't see a huge drop off in quality, perhaps a little watering down of bundles thanks to their increased frequency. I subscribe to numerous bundle services and have never bought one outside of Humble because they are consistently the best. Adding in a fixed, top price tier should in theory drive the BTA price higher, which makes sense given the lack of incentives to actually spend more than the average price. All in all, seems like a pretty standard expansion for any successful venture.

Now I don't know a ton about Humble Bundle besides what I skimmed from the Wiki, but I would say that it seems like an objectively good service that provides games to consumers for cheap, expands the reach of indie games, and contributes to charity. Xbox Live Gold, on the other hand, is more problematic in that Microsoft was able to monetize a service that had previously been free, namely matchmaking and using your streaming apps. Including free games certainly helps offset the cost, but it's also fair to say that it's far inferior to its competitor's service, which offers a wide selection of modern, AAA games.

As for the "rentals" part, I think as long as you grab them in the time when they're available you own them forever?

But regardless it's pretty early to judge it - the console isn't quite a year into its life, and they won't start releasing AAA titles in Games with Gold until they're prob at least a year or two old. It can be a super valuable service by the end of the console's life though, if you look at the kinds of titles Xbox 360 had available recently - in 2014 you could have gotten Sleeping Dogs, Dead Island, Civilization Revolution, Hitman Absolution, Saints Row 3, Dark Souls, Dishonored, and Halo: Reach all for free. That's ****ing awesome!

This is random. Rockstar have ported the iOS/Android port of San Andreas to the 360 and it's $3.75. It runs at 720p and has higher res textures, greater draw distance and achievements. Framerate is terrible though and all the menus and everything are straight out of the mobile ports.

finally got around to installing and playing the new(ish) wolfenstein game. Longest. Intro. Ever.

Thought I was done and the game was short when the credits started rolling.

Anyhow, killing loads of nazis, get to the point where you're about to hop off the prison transport, aaaaaannnndddd.....

Dumped to the desktop, game closed, windows ran out of memory.

MM is basically the internet going out of control over something that was pretty good but was a little different and didn't get a lot of attention upon initial release. Nerds just eat that **** up and blow it all out of proportion as the years go on. Majora, Dreamcast, Firefly, probably Wind Waker, etc.

I've only ever played the original Zelda and whatever the second one is called. I'm old school.

I do own a TV, though.
