PC Gamer put out an
article listing most of the interesting looking games scheduled to come out this year. I still have about 100 games in my backlog, but there are a few I'll make room for. What're people looking forward to?
Rockstar, Ubisoft and EA have some cool games coming out like The Division, Watch Dogs, GTA V, Mirror's Edge 2, Star Wars Battlefront and Beyond Good and Evil 2. We'll see if 2014 is the year they finally realize their DRM and required storefront launchers are only hurting them, but there are more than enough games coming out from companies that don't treat their customers like criminals that I'm not worried about missing any of them. Except for Beyond Good and Evil 2... bastards. Looking over the list then, I'm most looking forward to
Star Citizen, Transistor, Fortnite, Broken Age, Walking Dead: Season Two, The Wolf Among Us, Kentucky Route Zero, DayZ, Starbound, Super Hot, Everquest Next, Quadrilateral Cowboy, Frozen Endzone, Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity,
The Magical Realms of Tir NA NoG: Escape from Necron 7, Revenge of Cuchulainn - Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa (!), Dark Souls 2, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. Torment: Tides of Numenera and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth aren't on their list which is odd, but definitely looking forward to those.
Cautiously looking forward to
Max Max, Lords of the Fallen, The Stomping Land, Thief, Game of Thrones, Armikrog, The Witness, Volume, Witcher 3, Liege, Cube World, Divinity: Original Sin, Mew Genics, and Massive Chalice.
