The person responsible for hiring should be kicked in the nuts hard if they relocated a family the week before closing the facility and knew there was a >25% chance they were firing everyone next week. I'm going through a hiring process right now and these douches don't want to pay me $500 to relocate 200 miles. Know how pissed I would be if the closed up shop a week after I got there? Know how much more pissed I would be if I relocated with w+2c?

If you are a fan of Dark Souls and like Indie games this looks interesting.

I'm finally working on Salt and Sanctuary and even though I'm a little lost on a couple of things, it is pretty fun so far.

I read the remaining skeleton crew got the axe today. Makes me nervous about my games that I have at Telltale. If the website/server goes down...

Busy downloading now.

Believe me, I've tried to Google this one, and can't find anything.....

I've always hard wired my modem to my Xbox One, and have never had connection issues. However, I just moved to a new location and new internet service, and while everything is still hard wired, I have connection issues literally every time I connect to Xbox live, and the only way to fix it is to restart my modem. Once I do that I can connect and stay connected so long as I'm playing continuously, but once the Xbox turns off, I have to go through the same process again. Notably, I have zero internet problems with any other devices, so it must just be a setting issue, but I'm not internet-savvy enough to know what it is. Anyone know about this issue who can point me in the right direction for a fix?

New internet service? DNS issues possibly? Does your router have DNS settings manually entered?

Mine is exact same router in the new house (supplied by internet provider), and playing rocket league hard wired my packet loss and ping is significantly higher than me just connecting to regular wifi.

I haven't played around with settings whatsoever cause I'm an internet idiot

I'm surprised there's no Black Ops 4 chatter. Has the COD franchise finally milked itself dry with annual releases?

I really like the Battle Royale it seems to be a nicely polished version of PUBG, not as frenetic as Fortnite, loot is everywhere and because difference between good and bad guns is less it feels like a lot more skill than luck.

It's heroically underdocumented and the thing where all the guns have entirely fictional near-future names makes it real tough to know which guns are which until you try them and then you gotta remember what gibberish name or acronym you wanted.

The regular multiplayer is even more underdocumented. Why the **** are they still gating create-a-class behind progression? This is what, the 8th COD since Modern Warfare? People know about perks and attachments and ****.

And if the idea is "oh we'll let new players get their feet wet with default classes" I didn't even ****ing figure out that there were default classes until I was already like level 4, and once I saw I could change it from the SMG starter class there's no way of learning what any of the bewildering icons mean to distinguish between the classes. (Also the default classes are pretty bad? Just let me make custom classes immediately guys.)

Regular multiplayer still the same COD gameplay of kill streaks and wacky gear. Not a fan of manual healing and the halfassed Specialist Overwatch-wannabe-wrapper still doesn't feel committed enough. There's no difference between Specialists besides their cooldown abilities, seems like that could've just been folded into the custom class creation instead of making me jump through hoops of selecting the right specialist and the right class.

One big issue for me so far is that regular multiplayer has excellent performance while Blackout has an incredibly variable framerate, normal multiplayer you might go from 50-70 or whatever but Blackout has a range of like 15-70.

I miss singleplayer more than I thought I would and I'm gradually getting angrier that there isn't a campaign but there are a bunch of story-driven cutscenes for the tutorials for each Specialist. I'm not playing 9 ****ing tutorials.

made a new linux VM in order to try Wine for WoW & the steam version for linux. Heard a little while back that steam or linux or someone had made some huge strides and now hundreds to thousands of games were becoming easily playable on the OS. I guess after the latest M$ update started randomly deleting files I'm considering having 1 less PC in the house with their OS.

It was very surreal to just be able to instantly install so many steam games. Some even ran okay in a VM w/ only 2 cores & 128 MB vram. Crazy!

What I'd love to do is basically violate all the natural order of things for WoW - it's a windows game you play with a keyboard and mouse, so if I can get my 360 controller + wowmapper working on linux I might consider reupping my sub.

Did manage to get hearthstone working in the VM, though with such few resources it ran like complete ass and I had to find and kill the process manually. Alt+tabbing out and right clicking the taskbar item for the game didn't give an option to force close.

No single player is the reason I'm not getting BO4.

People played COD for the campaign? All the ones I ever played sucked. I got BO3 for free with PS Plus and it just felt sluggish, did not pique my interest for getting back into the franchise at all.

MW1 and MW2 had legitimately great campaigns, and Black Ops 2 was interesting.

I briefly considered Blops 4 after skipping the last several but no campaign is a knock against it and from what I saw of Blackout pre-launch it seemed painfully slow.

I'd say it's slightly faster paced than PUBG because of how loot is everywhere(which it seems like maybe not everyone on the design team knew about? There's a buff for melee damage that would make a lot more sense if there weren't primary weapons with matching ammo in 75%+ of buildings) but much much slower than Fortnite. I personally like that the most of the BR modes but candidly don't really like the format, the game is fun when there's action but man there's a lot of wandering in the desert and fiddling with a garbage inventory screen.

This is going to show my total ignorance of tech stuff, but would anything in the how the game connects make a difference? My issue happened with GTA V, which was the only game I was playing at the time. Got Black Ops Friday and have been playing a good amount, and haven't had the issue.

As to your question, no error message other than "connection error" or something like that.

I've never played Fortnite or PUBG, but as a battle royale amateur I really like Blackout. Yeah, it's frustrating to run around a lot then get shot in the back or killed because you took a left instead of a right, but whenever I day I tend to come back for more. I've only played with randoms, and I imagine it's more fun with a full squad and party chat.

I hated the "future" aspect of Advanced Warfare, didn't even buy Infinite Warfare (maybe I did? I guess not knowing says something), and thought WWII was just ok. I'm liking this multiplayer, though, and can see me putting in time. The specialist thing is a little convoluted and unnecessary in my opinion, but not so much that it gets too much in the way of old-fashioned game play.

I hadn't read anything about the game until I bought it, so it was fun to run into the old, updated Black Ops maps (took me too long and too much deja vu running around Firing Range before I figured out they had brought it back).

The first two CODs (the OG WWII versions) had great single-player campaigns. Also great multiplayer, back before all the ranks, leveling up, gear, progression, and other bull****. I loved those games.

Havent bought a COD since mw1 on 360. When mw2 came out i thought it looked to much the same so skipped that one. Guess i saw it all coming.

Cod 1, united offensive and 2 were amazing games. Loved the campaigns and muliplayer, united offensive in particular was so great.

No, it's not. How many single player FPSes have better campaigns?

MW1 especially, the AC-130 mission, the nuke mission, the Chernobyl missions... it was fun as hell and extremely influential.

Yeah I replayed missions from MW1 and MW2 a ton. The rest of the series was basically play through the campaign once and forget it.
