I bought forza 7 for PC, forgot how much I loved this series. Absolutely stunningly beautiful game on my 1060 and I haven’t even played on max graphics.
There was a bit of a kerfuffle yesterday involving this game, turns out new lead Nintendo editor at IGN copy pasted his review from a dude on Youtube, lol.
It was later found he'd plagiarized his Fifa Switch review too, and who knows what else. Has been fired, obv.
Just wanted to share an awesome experience I just had w/ a game I bought 5 or 6 years ago.
Watching the US Open I got the itch to play Tennis Elbow 2013 again but realized I had never installed it on my new pc.
After searching through my old emails for my activation key I must've deleted it and figured I was screwed. To my surprise, on the developers website there was a key retrieval button for a 5 year old sports game which still receives regular updates.
Not only that, but in the time since I bought the game directly through the developer they got the game onto steam and they sent me a steam key for it with the "provision" that I could no longer ask for a refund on a 5 year old game.
Just want to say that if anyone here is a tennis fan at all and wants a tennis game, please give your support to a developer who is not in the EA mode of scraping every last dollar out of their customers.
So you had an awesome experience trying to download the game, but not actually playing it?
I've got hundreds of hours in the game but tend to go in cycles of when I play sports games. Just because I haven't played the game in about 6 months doesn't mean it's not a great game, just that I've been playing other games since I got my new pc.
Is anyone else finding it harder to get into games as they get older? I assume most people are in relatively similar stations of life, though of course some have spouses and children and some don’t, which changes the calculus. Like I don’t know if it’s a reflex to simply having less time but I can hardly get into anything, despite being as interested in games as ever.
Just wondering if people have discover different genres or anything that they find more engaging than previously. The last game I really loved was Horizon Zero Dawn which I finished months ago and haven’t played through anything else since. I play some card games now, mainly Eternal (oh and Skay the Spire), but that’s more of a convenience since i can play quick games with the sound off and honestly satisfies the “poker” part of my brain more than “gaming.”
In the same boat. Most of the games I’ve enjoyed lately have been ones I can play with the wife, but after a while even those lose their luster. Was thinking about looking into card games that we could play together.
Yeah same, I just find more of the popular games and game genres to be meh as I age. Lol olds I guess.
Though recently I found Celeste to be amazing. Hollow Knight was pretty good, though I don't think I appreciated it quite as much as younger me would have.
BOTW was the last game that really had me pumped to play every day.
