So i think as long as you can not die while amassing swarm hosts, you automatically win as long as your opponent never has more swarm hosts than you do, and his control isn't significantly better than yours is, right? You have to wonder why stephano (and therefore his opponents) don't rush SHs every game. Like, maxing on roaches and a smaller number of SHs vs a smaller number and spines and attacking into a choke is just objectively worse, as long as the larger SH player can gradually take his expansions, which are better for him since you've been fighting roaches vs free units.

If anything, stephano is proving that people that can't beat WCS America challenge league players in ZvP and ZvT still have a fighting change vs some of the best zergs in the world after having massive disadvantages because of free units and practice.

If it was that easy anyone could do it. It's not.

you have to be at a certain level, but nerchio just gave an interview and said he'll probably never do it because it's just too much of a waste of time to work on it during practice. i have to imagine he's not alone.

i mean, let's not pretend that stephano is anywhere close to as good as he was during his peak and that his ZvZ is elite by any means (it was mediocre when he WAS good, after all).

i realized why stephano goes SHs in every matchup, but you stephano fanboys are gonna be mad at me for saying it.

If it was a waste of time, that could only be because they aren't good which contradicts your whole point. Also if you actually watch the games, that's not what happens, you have to survive to get to swarm hosts, which is extremely difficult given their costs. You are extremrely vulnerable to roach timings etc. If anyone has an advantage early to mid game, then they can take the whole map and go swarm hosts first and in greater numbers, strangling Stephano. That doesn't happen. They just headbutt a brick wall.

Also to reiterate, if it was that easy then anyone would be crushing koreans in ZvZ but that obviously doesn't happen, quite the opposite, their win rates in ZvZ are higher than ever vs foreigners.
