Jealous of you guys that got keys. I've had a stream open for almost every eligible minute to get one and nothing. Wonder if it's because of my honor level 0 in League

Played one game so far:

1. Game starts you in a mini-tutorial to get a feel for some controls. It then gives you an opportunity to shoot every game as often as you want to get a feel for it. And, there is a little shooting bar to increase or decrease your sensitivity in-game to get a feel for the right setting.

2. Shooting feels pretty crisp and the sound and feel are solid. There is recoil and bullet spray just like CS.

I played one 5v5 game, which we won 13-9. I was 10/19/8. I didn't do great. I was just getting a feel for the map and sight lines by the end of the match.

3. When you get shot by another player you nearly come to a stop so you have to play carefully and watch how aggressive you are. Have to let the other players come to you. Once I hung back a little more, I had more success.

4. The abilities are a little weird. I have to learn how to use them. If you play too aggressively, you'll wind up walking into all the abilities at just the wrong time and get yourself killed. Have to let the other players spam them out to get rid of them. I'm not much of a fan of them right now. To me, it feels like the building mechanic of Fortnite. I need more time trying all of the heroes to get a feel for my play style.

5. Headshots are super important more than anything. It's still possible to get kills as I got 10 in my first match and I didn't do well at all compared to my team (although, I wasn't last).

6. Enemy players are outlined in red so it's easy to pick them up when they are in view.

7. Movement feels a little slow but I probably just have to get used to it.

Overall, game looks good and it feels good. I think it has potential. I'd say it's worth a try if you like Counterstrike.

Got access yesterday, loving it so far - I've played almost every FPS that has existed to some extent but my main game was always cs:go competitively and I am loving this game. The gun fighting and mechanics feel very crisp - I was worried on stream it looked really slow and clunky but definetly feels amazing while playing (albeit, if you are used to something like overwatch movement will probably feel very slow) - You can't move while shooting or you will miss everything etc

Have only played it with randoms but I can see it being even more fun playing with friends and comming different tactics / planning out agent picks etc

edit: one other thing since every agents smoke / utility are different colours it takes awhile to remember which is which / what hurts you and what is holo in the middle or opaque etc etc

and to touch on what guy above me said, you can run into abilities easily but also when you cast them yourself they all typically have a delay especially ults so you will find yourself dying when trying to use an ability a lot while learning lol

Game is incredibly fun. First game I played, I clutched a 1 v 4 pistol round. But everyone was pretty terrible on the other team and I never used an ability the whole match, I was just playing it like CS.

I have to say this puts the fun back in fps for me. The abilities are definitely hard to get used to, and learning all of the different ones seems pretty daunting.

I can't imagine what the high level play will be like though, seems like it'll be crazy.

Valve ignored its playerbase for too long by not providing 128 tick servers, better anti-cheat. After playing this, I don't think I'd want to go back really. This takes CS to another level. Get a group of your friends together and you can have a blast playing this.

Haven't played it yet but I'm pretty sure you can ads with a lot of the guns and it has absolutely nothing in common with halo other than both games are shooters.

Just got a key, will try to get it fired up later today and this weekend.

Anyone who is in, post your ID or Riot name?

Still no key for me and I have a "drops enabled" tab open in the background every day.

My account name is "yaabuddy" if you also play league or whatever.

I'm in! Super fun and plays so smooth. As long as they do ranked/ladder the same or similar to league I don't see how this isn't the most popular game for the next couple years.

Is there anything more I need to do to get a key other than linking riot/twitch and leaving a drop stream open?

No, you can let it sit in the background on mute if you want. Just need to have it open on a tab.

It's fun for a while, but there's only three maps. One of which is AIDS.

And the community is SUPER AIDS.

i actually haven't had a problem with any of the maps, and the games i've had have been really untoxic, new players saying NT and people trying to help on mics etc. but i am playing on EU region

3 maps isn't a huge problem when the game is so new, lots of other stuff to focus on

Yeah that's probably my least favorite map as well the zip wires are kinda gimmicky and I've had a ton of trouble retaking on that map especially on B.

I've had the same experience in NA, like 95% of people have been very friendly. Of course you are going to get the odd ******* in any online thing but that's what mute is for.
