Hello all Video Game enthusiasts on 2p2,

I'm sure most of us know that twitch.tv is quite a popular website which is basically television for anything gaming related. From live casts of competitive tournament play, to announcements and convention coverage from the major players, to just people hanging out and playing games, twitch.tv has grown into a central hub for anything gaming. And with integration into this generation of consoles (you can stream directly from a PS4 or XBONE) it is sure to become an even more influential piece in contemporary gaming culture.

I know there is already a streaming thread in the SC subforum, but use this thread to generally discuss any twitch.tv stuff. If you have a stream, promote it here (just don't make 4 posts in a row saying "I'm streaming now!" because that's lame.) If you have favorite streams, feel free to share those. If something cool is happening somewhere, post that stream or highlight.

And because no half decent OP can go without pics;

Spoiler:

Happy gaming everyone. GL HF KA gg no re

I've mainly used twitch for Call of Duty. These aren't elite players by any means, but fun streams. I'll start with a hottie.

Her friend is a cool dude who is pretty chatty.

Also, 2+2's Sporting Events mod Needle77 has some great NFL analysis in his archives and sometimes drunkenly streams video games.

Needle is great for NFL analysis. Haven't seen any of his hammered gaming stuff tho.

My fav COD streamer is def BigFoltz (twitch.tv/bigfoltz). Very very good/ consistent player that pubstomps peoples brains in. Always chatting with the viewers and keeping this fun.

I also watch SM64 speedrunners when their on. That **** is addicting.

I basically stream games every Saturday night to 4-6 viewers.

As far as streamers I watch consistently:

Giga837 Is a solid Mario 3 streamer. No mic though.

Dan Gheesling The Big Brother winner is now a video game streamer and is highly entertaining. It's mostly older games but includes some new ones on occasion. Is just a highly entertaining guy.

I have this problem a lot due to my awful internet. I've found going into task manager and changing the adobe flash player to high priority helps a ton. Also right click the stream and select low quality.

This was a reply to the first post on this page by neil. Hate browsing on phone app. Sorry

I spend a lot of time with twitch in the background. Love watching variety casters and speed runners. Mofat(zodiacsmash), Cosmo, Sig, Trihex, shadowjacky are my favorite runners to watch. I'm looking for more runners to watch so thanks to those posting suggestions. I've lurked a couple of neil's streams and enjoyed them, I'll check out whitegoose when I see him on next.

Love watching Chaide, he streams a lot of retro and usually with the original hardware. Very chill, laid back casts. Spamfish is an hilarious caster, streams a lot of GTA. He's pretty bad at games but that's part of his appeal because he's a very funny guy that doesn't take it seriously. The chat can be pretty trolly though.

I've been watching Lethalfrag since about day 30 of his challenge and also been watching Manvsgame since he was on justin.tv. As much as I think they're great casters and enjoy watching them, the hero worship in the chat is really off putting. People pretty much praise them like they're cult leaders. I usually watch those streams with the chat hidden.

I'm getting really put off by some of the big casters being so money focused as well lately. I understand they're trying to make a living, I sub to 3 casters myself, I'm just getting sick of hearing "click on my links, disable *******, follow, donate, sub, share" etc every 15 mins. Most of them have a sub button anyway.

This is the story I've been told. He used to work at Justin.tv before they started Twitch. He was fired but before he left he put his face in the emote codes and didn't tell anyone. No idea why he made the code Kappa. Now it's the universal symbol for sarcasm on Twitch. Basically if you see anyone write something and finish it off with that face, don't take them seriously.

Are you the Goldeneye runner with the 24/7 Christmas lights?

I watch twitch mainly for Zelda speedruns and the awesome Sunday QuakeLive duel tournament on FaceIt.
Having been watching these types of streams on twitch for about a year, I can recommend ZFG, Ennopp, Pydoyks/Shaeden, Sva and Cosmo as some of the best players with an acceptable maturity level stream. Keepo.

Yep, that's me. This is my stream: http://www.twitch.tv/rwhitegoose

I've been speedrunning GoldenEye 007 for 8+ years and got into streaming last year. It's really been growing and it's cool to see guys in here, who aren't in the speedrunning community, but enjoy watching runs as well.

If anyone wants suggestions on good speedrun streams to watch for certain games or franchises, I can provide some pretty good ones.
