Past 10 posts ITT makes me wonder if I should actually understand or at least have a clue about what the **** is going on or if I should be happy that I don't.
I was honestly surprised the emote was allowed at all.
Doc has responded to all of this trolling very poorly. I used to love his channel but since the cheating I can't watch anymore, some reason that transparency speech seemed to have ruined his character for me.
Yeah, I’ll check out a highlight here and there but I won’t tune in live. His timing couldn’t be worse though. Fortnite explodes while he’s gone and he can’t catch up. Ninja was always going to be the “Face Of Fortnite” but Doc would’ve been up there. Now, he’s stuck while the rest climb the ladder.
Is anyone that types "omegalul", or used the forsenCD emote on twitch over the age of 18?
I used to looove doc last year, but I watch him a bit less now. He is too frequently super salty about the game, when it's 95% of the time him just being a decent, albeit not great gamer. Getting interped around corners in pubg is literally an issue with the speed of light/low tick rate when there are 80+ alive, not the netcode.
He does better when he plays duos, and when he's a bit more energetic. Usually the start of his streams are more fun. He'd probably do better being more of a variety streamer, and playing crap like NBA Jam to an audience that just loves to see him having fun. When he has a lot of energy, he just prints subs/donations.
edit: There are still lots of moments on his stream that make me laugh/smile more than anyone else on twitch, but they're less frequent now than they used to be.
I’ve been trying to make a dent in my backlog of video games (which is really hard because they keep releasing new games) and something I’ve found incredibly motivating is streaming on Twitch. Since starting I’ve probably played 90% of days. I’m definitely terrible at most games (and for some reason I thought I’d give Dark Souls a try, I estimate I’ll finish the game sometime next decade). If anyone ever wants to pop in and watch or say hi, I’m oldladygamer444.
DisguisedToast did a pretty cool video showing how much he makes as a streamer, breaking down everything from ad revenue to sponsorships. Was rather eye opening.
Thanks for posting that, pretty eye opening to me but I don't watch much Twitch outside of Rocket League tournaments. Still it seems like the top Twitch streamers are making peanuts compared to Youtubers, and I've heard Youtube is pretty stingy with compensation. I suppose that means there's still a large untapped market for streaming. With Amazon behind them now and so many disgruntled Youtubers, they should be putting more resources in to archived videos and clips. It'd be great if someone could give Youtube some competition.
