I was watching a Scott Manley (of Kerbal Space Program fame) stream today... He was playing some random first-person space adventure game. One of the viewers told him "To activate his spacesuit lights press alt-f4". (alt-f4 is the windows command to exit a program) Well Scott's game closed.

He hadn't saved his progress so his work was lost and so he laughed and then quit the stream. It was kind of funny, sad and mean all at the same time.

That Scott Manley didn't know alt-f4 is quite amazing in itself.

You can't even call it mean because I'm sure the guy saying it was sure he wouldn't take it seriously and get the joke.

The donations he gets the first stream should be gold.

Manley is an engineer and programmer. Chance he didn't know about alt-f4 are less than zero. Must have wanted to quit anyways and thought it'd be a funny way to end.

The fact that he works at Apple as his day job along with being in the heat of the moment got him.

No way that shocked look was faked.

That's not mean, that's his own fault for not saving. It's hilarious and perfection.

Lol i love the overlays. But the random beard twitching and spazzouts are why i stick around. I dont even play PUBG and have been watching since the H1Z1 days.

I cant really explain why I like the channel. It’s just dumb mindless entertainment to have on in the background while I do homework.

If you like sarcasm watch, if not don't. Basically.

I'm guessing he is staying with his wife and this isn't some fake relationship to rake in the money while they go through a divorce or whatever. But of course it could be possible.

You know he's going to filter donations, so the good ones will be the ones that people are able to sneak through with secret messages.

I bet he's going to get an absolute ton of refund requests/ chargebacks from people who donate with troll messages that he just ignores and pockets.

Twitch also had trouble with the overwatch league chat on opening day, and went down when tyler1 logged back in. Their tech seems to be slightly behind their recent peak numbers, tho I do recall CSGO majors pulling some crazy stats and them handling it, maybe they just try and not run special setups for non premium events if they can get away with it.

But it will be interesting because the first day back is going to be nuts. Easily 250k viewers on peak.

He's just genuinely hilarious to me. My girlfriend hates most streamers/video games and thinks he's a funny dude too. He reminds me a lot of a funny Will Ferrell character, and plays it super well/consistently.

Plus a lot of the stuff that people mentioned like overlays, which are so unique to his channel/hilarious. I love him in his motorcycle/lambo overlay playing PUBG, or when he brings out RoboDoc. Those things just don't exist elsewhere on twitch.

On another note, I've come to really appreciate AvoidingThePuddle, even though I don't play fighting games. I genuinely laugh in his channel almost as much as Doc's, though a lot of it is just him deadpan insulting his chat/reading troll donations.

I like Doc for when he reviews his own clips and talks to himself. Never actually watch him since he doesn't stream at the hours I watch though.

Guy I work with was urging me to check Doc out but but when I saw a still photo of him I instantly wrote him off thinking he would be cliche and lame.

Then I saw a clip of the motorcycle overlay and everything changed. I started watching and now Doc GOAT.
