What, spending 1k minerals to kill 20 drones is a huge win.

yeah i was always under the impression that army trading with zerg is fine as long as you have an equal number (or even 1 fewer) of bases, and that trading units for an equal number of drones is a huge win as the Z cannot make any army units while you can both replace your army units and make more harvesters at the same time.

Only if you attack him during the time he's making drones instead of army units.

Zergs love trading armies with mech play or protoss. Stops a huge ball of death from appearing.

trading armies is TERRIBLE for terran and protoss vs zerg except for probably the first 5-6 minutes of the game.

Won 8 of my last 9 3v3s going 3gate stargate, building a couple of voids and holding whatever push comes, expanding, and then pumping carriers off of 3 stargates, chronoboosting to +3 and running over the enemy with chargelots and carriers (well... mostly carriers) that just pulverize everything. I carried my team every single game (no pun intended).

And the game I lost I failed against a 6 pool hard - scouted it, walled off with a forge and got cannons but they were a bit late. I had plenty of time but forgot to build a second pylon near my ramp as the lings were destroying my only one that was part of wall, allowing them to break through and kill a bunch of my probes, killing my economy.

honestly i think its great of them to let you watch the first game for free. if they let you watch all the games for free then why would anyone ever by the season pass?

Not when Karak isn't building a single unit while doing it. Pwn makes 20 drones instantly and we are back where we started. I guess Pwn burns 20 larva...thats about it. Point remains, if you dont macro while harassing its useless against someone good.

Anyone ever play in the TL Opens?

I can start a "ask me about getting crushed in the first round of the TL Open multiple times thread" if you have some questions

well i saw the twilight council so i had to go hydra/speedling to defend vs blink stalkers. and since i know he went blink, i also know that it will take him quite a while to get to colossus or high templar with storm. i did throw down a roach warren so that i could pump out a ton of roaches as soon as i saw the anti-hydra tech switch. scouting is really key when you open w/ hydras instead of roaches.

also, i have played a TL Open and i am registered for the next one. i got stomped by PraeNightEnd in the first round last time. its free and you might get to play vs someone famous so the only down side is that i have to get up pretty early since i'm on the west coast.

Hmm, as long as it works, seems logical enough with scouting. Perhaps I was looking too results oriented-ly.

Cool, cool. I registered, I think I'm gonna play it.
