Yea it does look like it, but did the middle of the map change? Hard for me to tell. I know they had the bug which revealed the zerg spot, but did they want to change other parts of the map?

Umm I played 4 games on the beta server as a protoss vs the same zerg who claimed he was a 2400 master.

I honestly havent gotten my ass kicked so badly ever vs z, in 4 straight games. All of the maps have really big chokes, and its near impossible to expo and hold off pushes vs z now.

More wide open, cliffs are gone, islands no longer islands. (For the LT clone)

Some of those look like they should be 2v2 though. I dunno.

It cracks me up how people on TL gush over the GSL maps then without even playing a single game on these maps, based purely on the pictures, they are already bitching about how bad they are.

The "new" lost temple also looks like it just has 1 watchtower directly in the center now instead of 2.

Dude, try them as protoss, I played 3 of the 5 maps, and omg its impossible vs zerg. The chokes are super super super super super large...

p vs z is my best matchup by far, and I'm a 3k diamond.
I've never gotten my ass handed to me so bad ever, I got completely owned in 4 games, each under 10 minutes on the beta server.

Part of that is player pool bias.

I don't particularly like the wide-openness either though. The naturals seem to be really hard to defend.

First off, **** everyone who throws their placement matches.

Second off, the new maps are kinda gay. Not really liking them all that much right now.

I played on the one that looks like Blistering Sands and the purple one. The main bases are absolutely way too big. The first game on the BS, I saw a guy go hide in my base which was clearly covered in fog since it's so huge. I went and attacked him with my probe and ruined his plans.

Finally, **** everyone who throws their placement matches. I'm in Bronze on the PTR and there is absolutely no way someone can be as good as these guys seem to be, being in Bronze. I'm probably getting slightly behind, I don't know.

On the regular account it seems like I never have enough minerals. On the PTR, I can't keep up - so I'm probably getting behind. At the same time, people I've played at the Gold level are worse than these 2 guys I just played.

I don't know. Beats the **** out of me. The only solace I have for playing and not caring is that it's the PTR and I use it more just to piss around.

I'm 8-15 on the PTR, going back to the previous patch.

It also asked me for SC-I or SC-II. Apparently the SC-II I could create another name.

I haven't played SC2 in a little over a month and my god am I rusty.

If you play Z/T I need a practice partner :O

I'm also trying to fix my habit from WC3 (1 and 2 for army, 3 for main base, and so on)
For SC2 I need 3 slots for my army (whenever game gets to T3 anyway which happens pretty often) and I'm trying to make my nexus a 4 rather than a 3 and it's making me super slow on my gateway / warpgate production.

just played a 1:31 hr game long TvZ.. lol. I was down to just an island last-resort base with no structures at all except a billion turrets and ended up winning. He had 4-5 bases and I eventually got another desperate base at the one place his creep wasn't on, while I was mined out.

I'll admit he was sort of bad since he never even got brood lords despite him having a zillion corruptors.. lol. Oh well, pretty epic anyway.
