Also a tad disappointed by what we saw from Dream. I thought he looked very sharp in the Ro16... I was wondering if he was gonna pull a Cure and make an out of nowhere run that forces us to re-evaluate where we have him in the Terran hierarchy.

Then Rogue reminded us that he's won plenty of big games before.

DRG does look sick, though. the way he used the lings both in the game to bait the widow mines/cyclone shots and then clean up with the mutas, as well as when he would use the mutas as bait to get the thors out in the open before surrounding them with lings, was really impressive

also this may be wrong but it seemed to me in addition to baiting the thors to be OOP, he would make it so the thor's first shot would be to a ground unit which allowed his mutas to get off an uninterrupted volley before it switched its targeting

i have a feeling rogue is gonna destroy DRG in Ro4. which is a little sad, seeing DRG come back and win GSL would be incredible. but a 3-0 that doesn't look close wouldn't surprise me at all

Kinda agree, DRG hasn't had any ZvZ this season (he lost to Impact last season to get eliminated) and Rogue is pretty good at that matchup

I certainly hope the semifinals are better than those games. Three 3-0s and
a 3-1? The Parting/TY series was entertaining but still more or less a bop, and I don't even know what to make of Stats/Trap.

It'll be interesting to see how TY/Stats plays out given Parting and Stats are pretty close to as different as can be style-wise. Could see it being pretty close. If I'm Rogue, i'm heavily rooting for Stats as I don't see Stats beating Rogue in a Bo7 but I could see TY doing it.

I feel like the best games BY FAR, in both this season and last season of GSL,

Yeah, while it's pretty lol that flash rolled T twice, if Bisu just builds a pylon in game 1 he wins, and if his arb usage in game 2 wasn't hilarious he'd at least have a chance

STATS is BACK!!!

After several disappointing showings, it really looks like Stats worked on his game, hammered out his mechanics... and looks strong, and very technical, in macro games. He adjusts well to new information and makes lots of sharp, tactical decisions on the fly.

Despite Tastosis' breathless praise, I'm not ready to crown him as "The Best Protoss In The World" right now... because despite their poor showings this season, Zest and Trap still exist.

I'll just say I'm happy as a fan to see Stats being the best version of himself.

I'd make Rogue a -130 to -160 favorite, but I'm rooting for STATS in this finals!

Stats is one of the players I miss most from BW, he was getting up towards the top 5 or so Protoss when SC2 happened, then he's never moved back
