No kidding, I think light floated 1k plus minerals...on two bases...with five factories. All he had to do was hit the g key while knocking down the natural.

Also going up that ramp in game 2 or whatever the two player map is called, when you know you're gonna get flanked, is terrible. Every other Terran blocks the ramp and seiges from the low ground. Though that is an unusual timing to be there because stork had no clue where the army was. I guess light somehow thought he could get whole army up there and cut off stork. Dunno, that was confusing to watch.

The whole ro8 was pretty great. Bisu vs Chosim worth watching as well:

No macro games but some cool strategies, including a cannon rush.

Game 5 was a nail-biter as well, Bisu was so close to holding with the DTs/counter attacks after scouting the hydra bust so late.

I was not impressed by the valkyrie build, but I don't really know enough about BW to say why. Part of me thinks it was simply cause Flash was trying to avoid playing SK Terran cause of his wrists lol

This ASL has been ridiculously good. Light vs Chosim:

All games were great. Longer games than the Flash/Zero series with Chosim having some cool builds. Last adapted so well in the final game to somehow not die when the mutas got on top of his production.

I'm a zerg fanboy but happy that Last won so we get a TvZ finals.

Third place game should be interesting enough, Soma brought some interesting strats although he was apparently practicing heavily with Flash, so the metagame's going to be weird, although it's not on the level of the final being a teamkill. Light's TvZ has always been among the best in the world, probably only ever number 2 behind Flash, but if anyone knows exactly what he'll be doing it'll be ZerO


Also re: GSL, was just looking at the outright odds, was Protoss being good just a patch or is Stats at 7/1 to reach the final value?

I'm a little surprised Rogue went down so easy in game 1? His overlord saw the timing for Scarlett's hatch finishing, he should have known from how late it was that some cheese was coming I imagine...

The hatch was only 7s later than a standard 16 hatch. Maybe at the highest level that could be enough to suspect something weird is happening but the build was deliberately designed to look as much like a normal hatch first build as possible.

Spoiler:
Impact winning the final game vs DRG with the same build as Scarlett used in her game two and it playing out so similarly with the spawning pool positioning was pretty funny.

don't bother with the third place match. maybe game 3 if you have time

game 1 is a pretty standard TvZ, game 2 is the same build that worked for flash previously on that map, game 3 is alright but soma couldn't do enough to break him. plus we get vessel erasers which i haven't seen in a while
