I don't think that matters - two Terrans in that part of the bracket increases the chance that a Terran emerges from those 4 players. It works out the same (50% Terran advancing from their sub-bracket, times 25% chance their sub-bracket produces the champion).

Say that Maru and Gumiho were on complete opposite ends of the bracket.

Chances Maru is in finals: 1/8
Chances Gumiho is in finals: 1/8

Chance Maru AND Gumiho make finals (100% Terran victory): 1/8 * 1/8 = 1/64
Chance neither Maru nor Gumiho make finals (0% Terran victory): 7/8 * 7/8 = 49/64
Chance that exactly one of Maru/Gumiho make finals (50% Terran victory): 1 - the other two possibilities above = 14/64

So, 1/64 + (0.5 * 14/64) = 8/64 = 1/8.

No matter where you put them in the bracket, the math is always going to even out that way.

Okay, let's say their path might put them in the same semifinal instead of the same final.

Maru makes that semifinal: 1/4
Gumiho makes that semifinal: 1/4

They both do (100% Terran advance to finals): 1/4 * 1/4 = 1/16
Neither do (0%): 3/4 * 3/4 = 9/16
Exactly one does (50% Terran advance): 6/16

Chance a Terran advances from that semifinal: 1/16 + (0.5 * 6/16) = 4/16 = 1/4
Chance a Terran wins the tournament: 0.5 * 1/4 = 1/8 (same as other bracket setups)
