Ok, this Blizzcon pool needs to happen, and I'll make it happen!
I propose we do it March Madness bracket style, with Fibonacci scoring. Fibonacci scoring (2, 3, 5, 8) is better than exponential scoring (2, 4, 8, 16) because it places an importance on the group stages. You will also pick Group 1st place/2nd place, but it will be the tiebreaker and not scored unless necessary. Mistakes in group winners will bare themselves out in the later rounds because it will mess up your matchups.
Pick two players in each group to make the round of 8. Each correct Ro8 pick is worth 2 points.
Pick 4 players from that to make the Ro4. Each correct Ro4 pick is worth 3 points.
Pick 2 players for the finals. Each correct finals participant is worth 5 points.
Correctly picking the overall winner is worth 8 points.
Pay attention to your group winner picks for your possible matchups in the round of 16.
It doesn't say the round of 16 re-seeding schedule, but this is how they did it last year:
Group A Winner
Group C 2nd
Group B Winner
Group D 2nd
Group C Winner
Group A 2nd
Group D Winner
Group B 2nd
Groups are...
Quote:
A: Maru, Lambo, TY, Neeb
B: Zest, Heromarine, sOs, Serral
C: Stats, Has, Dark, Showtime
D: Classic, Nerchio, Rogue, Special
If we have a tie at the end, then each correct pick of Group Winner/2nd place for 1 point each will be the tiebreaker.
I propose we play for $20, winner take all, unless we get more than 10.
I can do Venmo or Paypal.
I'm very active in the Sporting Events forum, I run contests there, have escrowed for fantasy leagues, and successfully completed 2 stakes for 4 figures back when online poker was a thing Americans could do.

PM me your Groups A-D winners and 2nd places. Then give me your Ro4, Finals, and Champion.
Then I'll PM you my transfer info. I'd like to collect the money before the tournament starts on Friday, but I obviously have to have your entry before the games start.
Then I'll post everyone's bracket for scoring transparency.
I have to have your entry by noon Friday Eastern time!
