Balance changes for the balance changes
Protoss:
- small nerf to shield battery health to make proxy base-outside-yo-base strategies riskier
- reduce warp prism pickup range from 6 to 5
- void ray speed buff when using prismatic alignment (why??)
Zerg:
- transfuse will deal 75 health instantly and 50 more over 7 seconds, instead of 125 instant health
- creep will grow 50% slower
- tunneling claws cost reduced by 1/3, will no longer buff health regen speed for burrowed roaches (I didn't even know it did that)
- reverting the hydralisk HP nerf, instead they're slightly nerfing attack speed by ~6%
- infestors are a little smaller, can move through units while burrowed, and fungal limits abilities like blink/transport loading (didn't it already??)
- nydus cost reduced
The creep change in particular is really annoying and seems pretty garbage-y:
Quote:
In the transition from Heart of the Swarm to Legacy of the Void, the Creep growth period was cut in half, from 0.6 to 0.3, to account for other changes made during that period. While this doesn’t practically translate into Creep spreading twice as fast, it has certainly had an effect on Zerg players’ ability to control the map. More recently, after much refinement on the part of Zerg players, we began receiving feedback that Creep spread might be too oppressive, allowing Zerg to control large portions of the map leading into the mid to late game.
At the top level, this is horse****. Against players like Maru, it is in fact
exceptionally difficult to get your creep out far enough to create a defensive buffer capable of holding his midgame pushes, and all of the top P/T players are very good at controlling/limiting Zerg creep spread.
This is just going to punish Korean Zergs because Euros are trash at Starcraft
