I can now easily solo a Hard level with Abathur or Dehaka. Abathur's end game is extremely OP. Dehaka's call downs are also pretty OP. I've gotten better at Zagara, but she's harder to play than either of the other two zerg. And Kerrigan is (for me, at least) easily the weakest of the zerg commanders. Kerrigan herself is pretty powerful, but her army is pretty weak, possibly because Kerrigan is APM intensive, and I don't have a lot of APM.

I'm struggling just to get Kerrigan to level 15. I am at level 14 now, but can't seem to build a big late game army. Just tried a Abathur game to compare and it wasn't a comparison--once you get 3 brutalisks and 3 leviathans, the game is over--I'm floating a ton of minerals because my army just doesn't die at Hard (which is why I normally play Brutal with Abathur and Dehaka). In contrast, my Kerrigan army just dies over and over again at Hard.

Going through more of the commanders. Everyone says Stukov is top tier. But he must only be top tier for terran players. I am terrible with terran and I am terrible with Stukov.

Trying to get some of the protoss commanders up to 15. Vorazun relies a lot on DT and I've never been good with squishy units. I'm much better with Fenix. He has a bad reputation as being middling. But I'm able to get more out of him than any of the non-zerg commanders so far. Probably because he's the most similar to actual protoss. Still hardly tried the other protoss commanders yet.

Surprisingly, I don't hate Nova, even though everything about her says I should hate her. She's terran. she doesn't rely on A-moving mass armies. Yet I do better with her than I do with most of the other non-zerg commanders I've tried.

SCARLETT!!!!!!!!!!! This has been a long time coming for her. I remember when she came out of nowhere to win a trip to IPL4 and knocked Demuslim out (back when he was still relevant), then proceeded to dominate the Canada and NA WCS tournaments a few months later. She's always shown flashes of being elite, but somehow never put it together long enough to win a premier event until now.

Even though I barely follow SC2 anymore, this is very high on the list of the most excited I've ever been for a player/team winning something.

She just gonna lose. She in a tough tough group.

(not like this is super complicated but when I want to freestyle a ling rush I never know when to fit the hatch in)

I've been doing that ZvT ling rush quite a bit and it's so good. It gets to their base just after reaper comes out, which means your overlord will see the reaper go out while you sneak off to the side, then you go in behind the reaper leaving and cancel their CC every time, maybe more if they're bad enough to let you in the main. Then with how quickly speed finishes, you have them holed up in their main for awhile while you drone up.

I just downloaded the game yesterday (my last game was 2012 lol) and see whats up.
Man this is so hard to get back to it,Im old and slow and on top of that I want to play zerg (used to play terran).
Just playing the training and learning the new units for now (didnt play hots and lotv),this is hard.
On top of that I had that project6pool of mine to simplify everything but 6 pool doesnt exist anymore!!!
I always liked zerg but I find the mechanics not as intuitive as terran and race shifting is hard (not that I have any mechanics left but I have at least knowledge of overall game).
The client has changed so much,they have skins now??

Anyway Ill give it a small try,prolly playing the campaign 1st.

Zerg is a fine race for the old and slow imo. You'll be fine, depending on your aspirations.

I was 50 MMR from Masters back in January and then I lost like 12 games in a row and uninstalled in a fit of nerdrage. Such is the natural cycle of SC2 for people like me who aren't mechanically sound enough to play off-meta at higher levels of plebville.

Everyone here should play the arcade game zone cont4ol 4. It's fun and easy to learn. Also I need some free elo.

- some Polish Terran named Soul went on a loser's bracket tear, knocking out Stephano and Stats before losing to Ryung in the final qualifying match
- Stephano went 1-2 in matches (all against foreigners) to get eliminated
