I just lost an hour+ game against turtle mech/mass raven and now I want to kill myself. Mass raven is pretty much the hard counter to zerg. It's pretty dumb.

They didn't actually fix turtle mech games with the swarm host patch, they just made it so Zerg can't win them. There was a recent GSL game that demonstrated this as well.

How bad is the swarm host patch? Artosis, a Protoss player, wrote an article called "In defense of swarm hosts"

(it asks for an email address to read the article, you can just type in a fake address and continue)

He cites the Stephano Petraeus and Soulkey-Reality games as having viewership skyrocket - yeah, that's because the whole community was like "Wow, this game has been going on for 90 minutes, check out how AIDS this is." That's not a positive bro.

"Oh there was this one skytoss game that was badass" -sweet. good story.

Zerg needs help against mech right now I agree. The best solution might even be to just re-buff the SH for the rest of HOTS. Both of these facts absolutely do not mean that the swarm host is a good unit or a well-designed unit or that it creates fun and exciting gameplay.
