to add: I'm like 21-11 since the mmr nonsense quieted down and I started playing only gold/silver players. I'm pretty sure I can get gold if I keep playing a nonzero amount. One of my problems is that I won't play for a couple of days and then it takes me 3 or 4 games to remember how to play the game again

Every Korean ZvZ I've seen lately is just roach v. roach and it's awwwwwful

Also I want to learn toss, not to switch or main but just for fun and to understand the game better. If anyone has any good bronze-level resources for toss specifically hit me a link. Not just "continuously make workers" and "dont forget chrono boost" and "don't get pylon blocked" but I mean 2-3 good builds to start with, basic strategy and openers, that sort of thing. I know someone's gonna retort with 3-gate blink to masters or whatever but honestly those sort of comments are so tired, old, condescending, and unhelpful.

And no, goofy, I'm never learning zerg because I haaaaaate the general playstyle and haaaaaate injects. Just personal preference.

By watching PL finals, TIL that two current SC2 players have "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson as their song. That's pretty weird.

I just played a TvP where the opponent waltzed a probe past my scouting SCV, past my SCV building a barracks, and nonchalantly into the FoW off in the corner of my base. I send and SCV over there 20 seconds later and sure enough, it's a pylon. I pull SCVs and kill it, then ebay block his natural while going 3 CC. Because he has no gateway, he has to kill the ebay from 25% health with a probe before expanding. And somehow, I still lose. I'm so unbelievably bad.

I never thought I'd say this in 2015, but between GSL, SSL, and the Kespa Cup all happening at the same time, there's way too much Starcraft right now. Slow it down guys!! I'm so behind.

Plus, I'm going to ladder tonight.

Some plat apparently is using this season to troll silver. Did an SCV rush that left me with one barracks and one SCV. eventually turned into an hour-long game where he finally won with a mass of cattlebruisers

Cliffs are I wrecked his army and was just stim-pushing into his main because he had nothing, just like 3 tanks and I was like w/e. Turns out he had 4 tanks and a few widow mines cleverly placed...those damn widow mines wrecked like 2/3 of my marines and that was it.

Yeah the expansion units killed this game, f'ing widow mines. Hopefully the next expansion has units that are actually fun to play. I understand the game is balanced at the pro level but for casuals like me this expansion killed one of my favorite games. I also hate swarm hosts, mothership core, everything they introduced. I'm sure you will all laugh at that but the game needs to be fun at all levels to survive and I'm not sure it is anymore.

All that being said, I'm trying to learn the game again as I just can't stay away. Just got promoted back into silver league! For reference, I was either high-platinum or low-diamond back in the day (which I know is still lower than most of you), sorry can't remember exactly, I just like to play while I drink, so even when I start good most my nights end badly.

Like literally every player I'm playing was gold last season. So it seems that gold must have been extremely bloated last season, because a lot of them are still silver this season (although some are gold again). I'm a bit hopeful I'll get gold this season
