GSL ro8 match 4 game 2 is one of the weirdest, coolest games I've ever seen. You guys should watch it.

Watching the GSL RE on twitch has been nice the last couple of days.

Anyone still playing this game noticing league distribution changes lately?

My gold league smurf, where I do most of my playing these days (quit all ZvZs to keep MMR down/not have to play ZvZ, play bad Terrans and Protosses in unranked games, troll with swarm hosts, profit) was matched up against 3 diamonds last night. I quit the first couple cause I was like "whoah, can't let the MMR get this high" and then finally played one against a TERRIBLE dia protoss who 2gated (failed) into hidden base (scouted) into mass 1 base void ray (lol). My main account is plat at the moment but if my gold smurf's unranked MMR is high enough to be playing diamonds regularly, I feel like I could probably get diamond pretty easily right now if I tried.

lol game of the night: plat Protoss on Secret Spring tries immo-sentry all-in, I scout it well ahead of time and was on a good economy after opening 3 hatch before pool (I'm liking 9 scout vs Toss a lot these days because I can safely do greedy as **** openings after scouting gateway to offset the lost mining time) so I get out a big ling-hydra army and destroy everything they have. Despite his 2 base all-in failing in the worst possible way, he doesn't leave the game. I make swarm hosts, point them at his base, and go make some popcorn or something while he goes super tryhard with DTs, warp prisms, etc and sticks around for like 10 more minutes hopelessly. They're just such a pathetic race.

I saw a bunch of crap on twitter about some Winter streamer, someone's gonna have to fill me in on what the drama is. I think I only vaguely remember who he is...weird talkative kid, really childish? IDK what I'm talking about

and inexplicably gets thousands of viewers and is usually the top viewed SC2 stream. This "education" is him who's borderline GM level smurfing against bronze-gold level people and saying "hey guys look, Starcraft is easy". Everyone has long suspected he used viewbots to get said inexplicable thousands of viewers and someone posted convincing proof on Reddit recently (today?). He acts surprised.

(filter is seriously the most awesome guy on the planet, super nice Canadian dude, does a show of sorts on Twitch every Sunday where he gives free coaching to players bronze thru gold, always cheery except in this post maybe)

Yeah that's pretty lame that Twitch gives him a pass. He's basically cheating in the game that is Twitch.tv... And is literally profiting from it. Last I knew, if you got caught cheating, you usually get punished.

There's no way this boring kid who's not GM (is he even high masters? I see him as diamond right now) deserves the thousands of views he gets. If he's not entertaining, and he's not good at SC, why would anyone watch him? Oh right, because people watch the streams with the most views and his viewbots give him the #1 viewcount in SC2. That's complete bull**** - there needs to be some penalty imposed.

yeah its really sad, in any "real" (cmon twitch, a billie!!) business you get charges pressed for what is essentially fraud.

Also includes detailed list of all changed/new units. They have a new change to the oracle I hadn't seen before that seems like total bull****, because they totally weren't good enough already: a bomb that they drop that explodes and traps nearby units in stasis for 30 seconds.

I actually think corruptors are going to be pretty OP with their new void ray-like ability. They also gave vipers an AOE damage spell that will probably also be stupidly good. On the flip side, I hate that the good things Zerg are getting (lurkers, ravagers) have to be morphed, at a cost, from roaches/hydras, and swarm hosts are going to blow and the OP stuff above will be taken away from us once everyone cries enough.

Would be nice if someone here got into the beta imo.

Maybe protoss will start making oracles once in a while in PvT...

Unfortunately for Zerg, every single ZvT will end in the midgame against either immortal/warp prism or sieged tank/boostivac harass, so we'll never get to make them.

When does LOTV drop? My current computer won't even run SC2 anymore, and I gotta get married and buy a house before I even think about getting a new rig, but hopefully I can make all that happen in time.

The damage on that viper parasite bomb will be nerfed, guaranteed. Idk if the medivacs were full health but wow, it killed them quickly.

Also, god help me... Another buff to warp prisms. And yeah that tank harass is going to be pretty ridiculous to deal with without mutas.

Some of the new abilities look really OP at first glance.

Me and a couple coworkers were trying to recruit another guy here to play SC2 with us, he was like "I play Dota, I can only control one unit." I told him he could play Protoss and treat his army like one unit:

Q = force field
W = blink
E = psi storm
ult = mothership recall

I think that's an easy way for a Dota player to get into SC2, yeah?
