I got owned by carriers today. Do people ever recover from that? I think my sc2 career is over

tl;dr

Oh man, I'm so pumped. Just won a PvP on Jungle Basin. It wasn't smooth, but I was feeling in the zone. I saw the guy had a bunch of stalkers and some immortals so instead of going mass stalkers like I newbily do, I tried to get mass zealots with charge.

I was just rocking it out. I had 100 supply when he was only like 84 or so. He wasn't putting too much aggression on me so I was free to just keep pumping out units. Got +2 weapons, which I rarely ever get upgrades because I always forget about it.

He did have observers all over me, which I failed to take down because I was too busy trying to get colossi.

First attack evened it up because I attacked his rocks to his expansion and once he retreated back to his base to come up around, I was just attack moving and my colossi were basically shooting pylons and his assimilator while my zealots were getting eaten alive by his units, along with my stalkers. I retreated and he just sat back some more. Insta-refilled my army with my 8 gateways, got a bunch more colossi. Saw he was going for my rocks, I flanked him. No idea how I won the fight. I think it was the charged Zealots really. He had +2 weapons while I was still on +1. I actually thought I lost the fight because I wasn't watching, but when it stopped I looked and I had a bunch of zealots and 1 colossi. I retreated and insta-refilled my army again, switched to some Void Rays to come at him with something else, went and attacked his base and just kept putting pressure on him until he gave in.

Average APM was 98. I don't think I've ever gotten it that high as an average.

I might almost have to end my SC2 career on that game. So intense. He was a mid-Silver.

We can play together if you want. I suck too.

Here it is:

Carrier interceptors are ridiculously weak. Don't focus fire the carriers just mass a ******** of marines and get some medivacs and start upgrading the marines. You will rip through the interceptors more quickly than he can rebuild them. It is actually pretty hilarious to watch a big ball of marines force 12 carriers + mothership to retreat.

youre supposed to have everything that crushes marines with your carriers

i.e zealots and/or templars

Wonder what kind of effect psi storm would have on the interceptors since they're more fragile now. Does fungal hit interceptors?

i dont think they get hit but i cant confirm

It Turns out theres a problem with custom chat channels on the EU server so loads of people can't join private channels they have already visited. Spend about 10 minutes the other day trying to rejoin a channel before I gave up. I'm glad I wasnt just being stupid.

Being ahead of Trump is a solid brag.

It works but it's not a very effective use of psi storm, and it's hard to avoid hurting your units with the storm. Yes fungal hits interceptors.

BigT is in the CraftCup. He was downvoting with Arlock. Arlock kept downvoting Shakuras, but it's not in the map pool, eventhough it is on the Craft Cup's website. BigT didn't know what was going on so I sent him a message and he responded. Bragggggg.

hey, mind commenting on my counter to forge fast expand? basically i take my expo and drone really hard while teching to hydras and OL drops+speed. then i just drop the protoss main w/ ling/hydra. i'm still working on the build so things aren't quite that crisp yet but timing wise it seems that toss will only have 1 colossi w/o thermal lance out if they teched straight to it after their expansion. if they went stargates i win. fwiw my drop is hitting at ~11minutes.
