I forget how to play this game sometimes - if I scout a Protoss and see gate, core, robo as their opening, what's my best response? I've struggled against this in a few games because...
- if you go spire, you die if they just add a bunch of gates and attack
- if you go ling-hydra you die if they're teching to fast colossi
- if you go roaches you're in bad shape against an immortal push

I'm guessing this is off two bases, right? Get a lair, then use lings to constantly scout. Hydra dens are cheap. Roach warrens are cheaper. It's what I used to do all the time...based on what units kill you, you should have a better idea of what they're doing. I basically never go/went spire vs a 2 base Protoss unless I was really ahead/felt like messing around.

FYI I've found that ling hydra actually does pretty well vs fast colossi if they're attacking you. The only way they counter you is if they do the thing where they rush colossi to take a third base then turtle, making your ling/hydra army useless later on (and this isn't something that people do often, unless the meta has shifted drastically recently?).

build order is approximately: 6 pylon, 7 gate, 7 assimilator, 7 core, 3x probes, pull out @ 50 gas, warpgate when core is done, 2x gateway at 50% warpgate, proxy pylon, first warp in of 3 zealots at 5:00, you can get 8 zealots before you run out of supply and your probes can't keep up with your gates. I might try this out in bronze later cause why not.

The 7gate7core rush: not because it's good, but because we can.

eta: I'm 0 for 2 with this build, it sucks.

I did a bit better with this build: 1 base 4gate (off a 10 gateway) adding in +1 ground attack (finishing as your first zealots warp in) and going pure zealot. I beat a Terran and a Zerg with it. Few things in Starcraft are as lolworthy as watching a pack of +1 zealots fight lings.

It's kinda fun to mess around with sc2planner to come up with Protoss bull**** (I don't think there's as much stupid things you can do with the other races to get the same pleasure from T/Z).

Oh man. I have a story to tell about this build. And that story must be told in pictures.

Next build to try: PvT, oracle finishing at 4:56 with a second oracle after into 6:50 4gate attack

It took me awhile to figure out how to use the planner very well (there are some instances where it doesn't put things where you want when you try to add them, and since the URL is just a series of build steps it is sometimes easier to just figure out the letter(s) for the command you want and insert it into the URL yourself) but once I did you can do some pretty cool stuff with it.

What's funny is the nerds on TL or Twitter saying things like "this is probably just some false positive" or "this online betting site has no right to slander SC2 players". They probably don't realize that esports betting is a drop in the hat for Pinnacle and they wouldn't bother doing something like this unless the betting activity was a slam dunk full of red flags.

tell me about it. I've been battling on reddit to explain how Pinnacles wouldn't **** with that lightly and they must have serious evidences. Bunch of ignorant nerds.

I think it shows how amateur starcraft still is that proplayers have to fix games in order to make a grand or two. I don't think he got much from whoever approached him... Also they suck at rigging lol
