MVP developments: they're bringing in Symbol, Center, Losira, and Yonghwa. Choya will be the new coach, they're partnering with some other teams/players to play with them in Proleague (Seed, Leenock, Liquid Hero). It's possible this means their former players are out - no news about most of them, but DRG is confirmed gone from MVP.

I made a new smurf account to play offraces on. It was placed in silver, placed ~10 Protoss games to start off, promoted to gold league, playing against platinums. Easy game.

Then I switched to Terran.

If any Zergs wanna try 2v2 sometime, I'm kinda keen to figuring out how the early game works ZZ vs TZ when all Z's open 10 pool and T opens gas first straight to reactored Hellions.

I busted someone maphacking while ****ing around and doing proxy 8-8-8-8 builds yesterday. When my reapers showed up in his main, he had cannons building at the edges of it, I was like wtf? Assumed he was just bad, but then went and looked at the replay because I was curious if he happened to scout me or something.

Then he lost anyway because he's ****ing terrible (his cannons weren't done anywhere near in time to stop reapers from killing them - maphacks, is silver league, LOL), hopefully Blizzard acts on the e-mail I sent and bans him.

Funny thing... I'm pretty sure when T proxies 2 rax and P goes Forge first, T is supposed to get gas for a Reaper to force the minerals to be invested in multiple static locations.

Now that I think about it, though, I'm less sure, because I realize I suck at Starcraft.

wont your marines be out well before his first cannon is done? getting 4-6 marines in his base before leaving sounds better than a reaper

It's possible. I don't remember, honestly. I do remember, though, that I played this series of games against a Masters P, and in one of the games I proxied two Rax because of the map (it was Heavy Rain). I think I won the first game and he asked for a rematch so he could show me how it could be blocked by P diff ways, and at some point won like 5 games in a row going FF. Maybe he cut probes for an early Forge, but I think he just dropped it normally and pulled Probes to the ramp, but I honestly don't remember. The consensus, though, was that I was supposed to grab a gas and get a reaper to force cannon to as many locations in his base as possible while getting up to Tank. I was, however, doing this weird rush where I delayed Orb to put 300 mins at the top of their main ramp immediately, because that map allowed for a bunker to hit the Nexus from the top of their main ramp if you walled it off with 2 bunkers and a depot. That and Heavy Rain had infinite Reaper entry locations.

I'm pretty sure lifting and floating home and teching to Stim off one of your original Rax and getting Marauder (which means forgoing getting a Fax and Port) is a good way to let P do anything they want while not being able to pressure for the next 5 minutes, though. You'd have to expand and get an Ebay while they floated, either that or grab gas and stay one-base, but in that case why are you floating home. You might not be super familiar with building T, but most anything involving starting Marauders early hurts getting to reactored Medivacs in a timely and/or not-idling-once-you-get-there fashion.

Seriously, no Zergs here play 2v2? The most funnest variant of the game?!?!

Posting mostly for bsball. I managed to win an absolutely ******ed 63 minute game against mass raven on Deadwing with a pretty split map.

He 2raxed, failed to even get a bunker up, then went into mass banshee, killed my natural cause I didn't see it coming and couldn't kill them until mutas were out, then went into ravens. He was mixing in marines and vikings so I went muta-swarm host-infestor-ling-bane. If that sounds weird, yeah, it was a really weird game.

Did most of my work with mutas, and I'd say this game went worse than average since despite my best attempts I failed every time at doing the drag-a-muta-that-got-seekered-into-his-ravens thing that I posted a gif of before, so yeah, confirmed harder than it looks. A couple times I got impatient and just dove my whole muta flock into his raven cloud when some seekers went down, which is good at killing ravens but I think is probably a bad trade overall. But in general I traded better than him, made him waste energy, took really good engagements when he decided to straight-up fight (there were a couple times I just straight up wrecked him, like after he killed my natural with banshees it was basically gg until I killed his first few ravens with a seekered roach and wrecked the bio he brought with the push), and eventually bled him dry and won.

I think I'm pretty set now on using mutas to deal with this and never making corruptors.

Few things in SC2 feel better than watching a cloud of ravens blow up.
