haha, it was mostly a joke. mtfishnoob was this terran that would come in and make incredibly bold statements about terran.

stuff like "i can win TvZ making only vikings" or check out my "stimless all in at the 20 minute mark"

and yes i suck and can't micro my ghosts vs templar. how do you do it?

it's really just about the fact that you can scan a lot end game, and when you have vision it becomes pretty easy to snipe the templars, at this point it's really all about you being accurate with your mouse

Hmmm doesn't really seem possible. Fuel costs + time. Unless there is a cheap train or something? But I imagine trains in the US for long distances are a no go.

King Sejong is my first veto of the new maps. The long rush distance seems to lend itself really well to macro games but as Zerg the 5th base is so exposed that it's really hard to even get creep spread up there, let alone secure the base and mine consistently from it.

Vetoing the 3 old maps, for some reason the vast majority of my games were on KSJ/MGR, with Waystation in third and somehow I always get the long spawns (which I think is good for Zerg). I wonder if Overgrowth is a common veto for some raisin?

But yeah now I have the same vetoes as you. I always want to try Alterzim but the fact that you can't scout Protoss at all until like 8:00 on cross spawns is too tilting...what do you do in that situation? Just make a spore at each base + two spines at third and drone hard as **** to make up for the the economy you're losing?

spores, but no spines. the walking distance cross map is at least a minute so i figure i'll be okay unless he gateway all ins me, in which case I just die. i also constantly run lings up his ramp to get an idea of what's there.

It's definitely not a "zerg map", the third is pretty exposed and most of my games on it involve some pretty heavy fights over my third. The small rush distance means pressure gets to you pretty quickly too, now that I think about it the vast majority of my games on that map have involved difficulty over getting the economy and production I want up and running against constant attacks.

Oh cool story.. I actually won that Boston tournament a year and a half ago. Seems like same organizer etc. Only paid out $450 back then :\

It's almost definitely not worth it for qxc to go. Poor format allows for easy elimination through the normal variance in sc2.
