Starcraft 2 (GAME IS NOW FREE!) - Page 732 - Video Games

Aww yiss, **** on a gold Terran who went mech with roach/swarm host/muta. I was opening ling-bane ldo so when I saw he was going mech I had a solid bank and just made all my lings into banes. His first moveout got crushed super hard (banes were like lol hellbats) and after that I contained him on 3 bases forever.

For lategame, what's my ideal composition? He was pretty thor-heavy so I guess swarm host is good vs that? If he had more tanks I'd have been a little worried, since I guess the core of an anti-mech army for Z is roaches and they're kinda dog**** once the mech army gets 3/3.

Brood lords are pretty good

I am quite sure that if you do not play for a while, your mmr starts to decay.

I actually did this yesterday lol. Killed my lair for no reason other than a misclick, and i didnt even have an attack to blame. Just ******ed lings.

maybe a month or so ago was playing 2v2s with my friend whos protoss. he gets double dropped, they take long enough killing his nexus that my army has time to come help, clean it up with maybe 50 hp on his nexus, i go to click my guys back to where they belong and misclick his nexus, it dies, he snap leaves and to this day thinks the drop just killed it, timing was so close

after the game i said "you wanna hear something funny?" he said no. good call.

on the other hand, he loses the most bases EVER to double drops. its actually absurd.

Placed in plat NA EU and gold (lol) in NA. I have now won 15 games in a row on NA on ladder. None of the games were close either. I keep playing donks. My placement match I played a silver in ZvZ. I went muta, didn't let him out of his base. Built a load of spores and spines outside his natural whilst taking bases all over. I do not understand this matchmaking. Ok so my MMR dropped due to inactivity, but after 15 wins a row it hasn't gone up at all? In fact its gone down. That's right my MMR has dropped after 15 wins in a row.

back when i got hots i purposefully lost my placements (one he snap quit) so i'd get bronze. won way less than 15 games to get into gold then quit playing. not even without losing cause i started playing protoss (contradiction to the max) and i hadn't laddered at all for maybe 1-2 months before that

Sounds more like your MMR is ridiculously low from decay (like bronze low). Also, there seems to be a pretty poor correlation between league and MMR on NA in my experience recently. I play people from gold to masters with an MMR in low diamond.

Well I didn't play for about half a season and went from playing Diamonds to plat players. I was winning every game after that, now I am playing silvers and golds.

I mean I suppose my MMR could be the same but it seems unlikely.

lol, I definitely do that sometimes. I did it to the guy I described from the other night who did the epic hatch block and then died to my ling+bane attack off 2 bases (or really 1, I never saturated my natural).
