wat? thats how sc2 feels like poker to you? the negative freeroll of happiness when you lose when you expect to win seems more like it to me. at least if you win 2 stacks you get something tangible for it
For the last week or so I've been practicing setting camera hotkeys on my main+nat and my opponent's nat every game...and I can never, ever make myself remember to use them after ~5 minutes. Much like vipers, I forget they exist.
That's weird. Just hotkey your own bases. You forgot because you are not used to it, you will and it will help so much. Especially when you learn to have a rhythmic cycle to your play.

I use main, natural, and 3rd base, with the natural hotkey tending to cover my choke just as much as the hatchery. I'm only really using them for injects right now though, since that's all I can remember to use them for lol.
Yes this is what I do, I hotkey my first 3 bases and outside my natural choke until my 4th base in which case I change it to that.
Just practiced that new inject method, its unreliable so far I think because I am not good at pressing both keys at once but when it does work LOL my god its ridiculous.
I am excited to finally announce that I am going full time for a year. It's been something I've been thinking about for a while now, and over summer I decided to jump in feet first to pro gaming. I subsequently cancelled my classes for the fall semester at Berkeley. Perhaps a major concern is that right now is not the best climate nor time period for going full-time. Despite this, I feel like this is the right choice for me personally, as moving forward into junior year I would have been overwhelmed by MCATs, medical school applications, upper division classes, research, etc. Becoming a pro gamer is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I don't want to live with the regret of never knowing how good I could have possibly become...
Jesus, I thought he was smart. wtf is this ****? I hope he has at least made sure that he'll still have a place at Berkeley next year if he skips out for a year, or else this is prob the dumbest decision of his life.
Hahaha just won such a satisfying game against this terrible Terran who clearly thought he was good. He goes mech and then cries about Terran balance. Does some troll opening with reactor reapers into hellions + a banshee and tries to kill my 3rd, I go fast mutas which counters him perfectly cause he has no units that can even shoot at them, then goes mostly hellion-thor which gets crushed by roaches. Then after the game cries about my APM like his spamming means he deserves to win. Delivered the lulz all around.
Always out there, keeping watch in ladder games, making sure that command centers will be built, early gases will be taken, and 0 ****s will be given about being safe.
Villain in this game starts with a rax at home and a proxied rax, so I figure double reapers are incoming:
Sure enough, the reapers come, I build lots of lings, they get kited while I wait for ling speed to finish, I lose a queen, don't get my natural saturated for awhile.
Eventually, ling speed finishes, and he retreats:
But what is this?! Does The Terrible Terran see an opportunity to get cute?!
"But a ha!", he says, "I can jump back up and you'll never be able to catch me!"
THE PRICE IS WRONG, BITCH.
So, The Terrible Terran loses every reaper he has except one that was rallied out and hadn't yet made it to the slaughter. With an army consisting of exactly one reaper, what does The Terrible Terran do back home?
Three command centers? Seems legit.
SiDeEfFeCtZ, this one goes out to you bro. Keep being terrible out on the ladder and doing your race proud. We all love you for it.
laddering for first time in ~month.. thank god im in gold.. builds are soo rusty. still ez wins besides some kid who 2 base roach. scouted no 3rd, add 2 bunkers at wall, he attacks, 1 isnt shooting, i click to see 2 scvs inside =/
