it's weird because im friends (more like acquaintances, kid is weeeeird) with a diamond/masters terran and we use hotkeys the exact same way, but we figured that method out totally independent of each other. Just felt natural to me for whatever reason

F2 is my whole army hotkey

I feel like putting ebays on 4 would probably be good and free up a hotkey, yeah? You'll never accidentally hit tab or anything so hitting 4 will always give you what you want, and the visibility of checking on upgrades is there every time you do.

i dont use any keys right of 5/t. i got some avg/medium at best hands. just click my main/nat for ebays. tab or double click for tanks. dont think either is better when you leapfrog tho.

I think they default to F3-F6, but non-noobs can obv hijack F2 (sorry schu) and and it's probably better to find a diff hotkey for idle worker than F1 so you can use that for cameras too.

well since i prob avg ~1 ladder game a week, still in gold. marine tank is good. straight wol'in

so just ctrl Fx then Fx to go there? i leave idle worker on f1, seems so easy and never really remap any keys

For the last week or so I've been practicing setting camera hotkeys on my main+nat and my opponent's nat every game...and I can never, ever make myself remember to use them after ~5 minutes. Much like vipers, I forget they exist.

I have no idea why you would want to hotkey your opponent's nat lol. An overlord off to the side accomplishes the same thing. More, in fact, because you get actual vision.

I use main, natural, and 3rd base, with the natural hotkey tending to cover my choke just as much as the hatchery. I'm only really using them for injects right now though, since that's all I can remember to use them for lol.

Cause that's where I'll be attacking into usually. Sometimes I'll send hitsquads in that area that aren't hotkeyed or sometimes I'll have so many units rallied to the nat that when I double-tap my army hotkey, it goes to the middle of the map or something and not to the units that are at my opponent's nat which is where I want the camera to go.

Whyyyy does SC2 have to feel like playing poker? I just won my first two games of the day, both solid games vs plat Ts (first game I go hatch block of cc first into ling/bane/muta/ultra, macro not terribly, kill his 3rd, deny expansions pretty well, get ahead and stay ahead; second game he starts some weird cheese, or maybe he was just hiding a rax cause I scouted empty main, but I start super defensive but he never attacks so it transitions into normal game, he goes early blue flame hellions but I hold with queens and transfuses lol, I go roach/swarm host against his sick 2 base mech attack + failed attempt at a hidden base and hold easily). I then get the same feeling I'd have in poker when I win a few stacks early and my instinct is to book the win to avoid the sting of losing it back. WHY DO I FEEL THIS WAY? It's a ****ing video game. I never felt this way playing Call of Duty or w/e. So stressful. And these are unranked games, not even like I have ladder points to lose.
